For the record, UNR only has two NPHC orgs: DST (Tau Mu) and KAPsi

This is the only reason why it's believable that they are relatively unexposed to coming out shows.

Youtube is probably what told them they could do it in the first place. :p

I.AM.D.E.A.D... :p

If they are so "MULTI CULTURAL"--why don't they do step dances from all their "representative" cultures? Why do these steps look extremely familiar, but poor execution and lack of precision? I dunno? But it seems like a BITE off the D9.

All this time I thought I was too white and uptight - and then - ding! - I suddenly realize that I come from a tradition of fine step dancing.

See now, I WISH I could do that... It may just be me, but I LOVE Irish Folk Dancing--i.e. Lord of the Dance, etc. I would pay good money (if I had some) to actually see that kind of competition...

SWTXBelle 04-27-2008 09:14 PM

You don't have to pay - find an Irish step dancing competition around you. The little girls are sooooooo cute - the night before, if you are staying in an area hotel, you see all these girls with their hair up in pink foam rollers.
My Irish step dancing is just what I picked up through my daughter's lessons - so I will not be posting on Youtube. :)
But I'd love to see a NPC chapter participating in a cross-council step show do some Irish Step Dancing!!!

And this was the chapter originally known as Xi Alpha?

In all honesty, I think a Greek folk dancing competition would be really interesting. Precision is still necessary and it's something very new, so it would take a lot of practice to be on point.
