@ MeezDiscreet - That threw me off, too.
As much as the young lady tried to validate her "organization" with an intelligent yet spelling error-filled response, I still have to stay on top of my niece to be sure she doesn't fall for the okey doke and become an auxillary. :( |
Truthfully most of the aux groups that I know are groupies:( or just kept around to please the frat men "needs." Nowadays if you are a sister group then to a frat, you are nothing but someone who is there to have sex with. Not to offend anybody, but that is just what I observe. At my school most of these groups are viewed in the negative and is a bad move if you want to join a sorority. In my opinion, I really dont think that auxillary group is the right way to go.

These groups don't matter. Period.

I believe in life no matter what u do people will always have a negative or positive (MAINLY NEGATIVE) thing to say. If you want to join an auxiliary group and hope to join a sorority no one should have anything to say about that.... this pisses me off because I hear people say wicked things about the girls who support auxiliary groups and I almost changed my mind about pledging for one.... I am the complete opposite of the stereotypes that have been assigned to these groups but still I hold my head high and keep pushing. I love the men of Omega Psi Phi and am joining the auxiliary group because their founders had all the right reasons for being established, it wasnt because of a boyfriend but because she truly wanted to help those men establish themselves. I also love the beautiful women of Alpha Kappa Alpha and hope to join them in their incredible services to mankind. I will try hard and be myself. I say forget what ppl say and do you.

I feel ur pain
I believe no matter what u do people are always going to have something negative to say. If you really want to be in auxiliary group it's ur choice. It is extra hard for me because I am pledging to be an Omega Pearl and I kno exactly how you are feeling BECAUSE i also want to join Alpha Kappa Alpha because I love them so much and want to help them service mankind. The thing with me is the bruhz asked me was I interested im not the naive type and they have never came off on me the wrong way but i hear all the smack about "u wont be accepted" and all that. Do what you feel and remember it is ur life, u control ur own destiny, God controls ur fate, and u only have one life to live.
