The actual numbers of members haven't been updated on our Fraternity website, but Kappa Kappa Gamma now has 130 active collegiate chapters due to the installation of Eta Iota - Creighton University and voluntary surrender of the Zeta Upsilon (Ga. Southern) and Epsilon Iota (U. Puget Sound) charters.

Kappa is very selective in their colonization/reestablishment process, averaging about one new chapter per year.

That is just the TKE chapter at your school. Other places they are different, so for you to make that statement upon a whole national organization is not cool. It is like someone saying PIKE is not a good organization because the chapter at Sac State lose at everything and they have 10 guys

I am 5 feet 2 inches tall. A lady never gives her weight or age except at the doctor's office. Sorry I could not resist that one!

Oh we are talking about GLO numbers.....my national GLO numbers has already been mentioned.;)

DG facts according to our website (last updated on June 16, 2005):

Number of collegiate chapters: 144 (+ one colony)
Number of alumnae groups: 267
Number of Delta Gamma collegians: 14,000 [not sure if this is an estimate since it's way too round of a number]
Average collegiate chapter size: 100
Largest chapters:
Alpha Psi-Mississippi: 266
Gamma Zeta-Louisiana State: 233
Alpha Iota-Oklahoma: 228
Mu-Missouri: 213
Alpha Nu-Southern California: 197

Wow! Good to hear about the Oklahoma DG's. I remember a while back (early 90's) when they were not very good. They always have had a very pimp house. Good to see they got membership back up.

Delta Delta Delta Update on Numbers

As of spring 2007 Tri-Delta has 133 collegiate chapters, with approximately 14,000 collegiate members. We have many chapters that are 100 years old. My own western chapter is 86 years old.

Where we have special strength is in our alumnae chapters. We have 310 alumnae chapters. Our total membership, I believe is 233,144.

im sure this has been asked and answered, but chapter meetings must be crazy! probably have them in lecture halls or something, yes?

my grad chapter barely breaks 40 and i get overwhelmed. but more power to ya!

Why is it sad? Of course the chapter is very important, but why shouldn't you care about the organization as a whole? That is, after all, what you're joining ...

SisterGreek, I was going to ask the same question however I remembered that (I have observed and been told) that most folks who join NPC's and IFC/NIC orgs aren't typically concerned with the national reputation. It's chapter personality that's more important. It really does depend on the school they attend and what greek life is like there. Just different dynamics.:)
