When did Omega come back to campus at State? I was there about two weeks ago, and saw only one Omega.
Yes, Mu Iota, the undergrad chapter that we supervised, had a coming-out.

Yeah....that was him :D Their members from other chapters I'd assume are helping him out. They at least came down for a step show last fall (where they got into it with the Sigmas, nothing big though)

I hope they cross some deserving guys who've sought Omega. To get the cultural greeks' support during the year helped out the smaller IFC houses like mine :D, and I sometimes feel like I can relate to them better than to the "traditional" greeks.

Thanks for the information. And it's good to read that your organization is able to work with NPHC and other cultural Greeks on State's campuses.

The Gold Coast Classic sucks. I went two years ago, and I'm still mad.

Also, he attended Columbia College in Chicago.

He went to both. Or at least, I've read articles that mentioned that he attended and dropped out of both schools. The art school on scholarship. Interesting tidbit. Apparently, his mother is an English Prof at Chicago State (at one time she headed up the dept.)

All of your other comments, I agree with. The quotes around the word greeks were definitely unneccessary. But I don't think those of us in NPC/IFC realized that BGLO are considered businesses instead of houses. I'd always wondered (but didn't want to offend any of my friends) why the names of the Divine Nine contain the w ord Incorporated. Thanks for educating us! I'm sorry if anything in this post made me sound ignorant, I'm just not as familiar with the terminology of the NPHC organizations.
Ok, I haven't read this entire thread yet, but I wanted to comment on this really fast. Excuse the hijack!!

Delta Zeta was incorporated on October 24, 1902. ALL organizations (especially national ones) better be incorporated! Incorporation separates the members from the entity (the organization) in the case of legal action. There are other important reasons to incorporate, but for fraternities and sororities, that is probably most important. Don't believe that your organization isn't run like a business!! That's why you've been around as long as you have.

THANK YOU! I could not have said it better myself. It is AOII's policy not to use the word "incorporated" unless it applies to a legal matter.

I should also say that, while I don't have the inside information on why NPHC organizations say "Inc." in their names, I do know that Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, INC. does for a meaningful reason known only to Sorors.
