I agree... Pleated front pants or shorts are just unflattering, and I also agree with the short lengths KR posted.. first one, while not HORRIBLE, is definitely second to the slightly longer one below IMO... I'm just sayin'

Whoever said pants or shorts with pleats in them are horrible is baffling to me. They are far classier than flat front pants and shorts that look ridiculous with a tucked in shirt. I don't think flat fronts are very comfortable either.

To me, those that don't live in the South will never understand the prevalent fashions revolving around seersucker, madras, nantucket reds, bill's khakis, boat shoes, loafers, croakies, and standups......and I would much rather look like my extremely successful 50 year old father than a trashy douchebag wearing ripped up hollister and abercrombie.

Isn't that always the $67,000 question??

(I realize you're new, but eventually you'll learn to speak Earpish. One day, all of a sudden Earp's posts start to make sense. It's a scary day, trust me.)

I know exactly what Tom is trying to say.....many many people in fraternities around the south do not wear their letters very often, nor do they display them on their cars like many people do. To be honest, I can't tell you why. I am one of those people that is like that. I will wear a date party or function t-shirt to class sometimes, but mostly, I wear polos, button downs or fishing shirts. The only stickers on my Tahoe are a Delta Waterfowl sticker and a Widespread Panic sticker.

I am not ashamed to wear my letters at all.....nor is anyone I know that doesn't flash theirs around on their clothes or cars. For me, I choose not to because I don't really feel the need and I really don't like wearing t-shirts. If you know me on campus and are a friend....then you would know that I am an SAE.

Ok, i thought it had something to do with that. I agree I seem to fall into that catagory as well, I also dont know why but no one at my school displays letters AT ALL. I think the only shirt I have with letters on it is the one from formal this year.

I feel I should report that after two years, my outlook on this topic has changed dramatically.

1. I am the proud owner of many Vera Bradley items.

2. I purchased Croakies for Mr. AXiD670's sunglasses. At this point, he has only worn them at the beach. :)

3. Seersucker kicks ass.

I don't know...maybe I've become more materialistic (read: preppy) in my old age, or maybe it's the influence of living around all this wealth in Charleston...but I want to flaunt it! I've started to become....SNOOTY!

Oh dear, have I turned into Rudey?

Oh, and in case I haven't said it before...that guy posing in the shorts is waaaaay hairy. :(

Its a shirt for fishing in.....very airy and breathable. They are collared and button down and are either short or long sleaved. Most all fishing shirts have a large air pocket type thing cut out on the back of the shirt.

Go to Columbia sportswear and look up PFG.....or just go to google and type in Columbia Fishing Shirt

I honestly have never heard of them! And I do go sailing! In fact, I'm going sailing down in Newport on Monday!
