Candace with an A, not an I means Nubian Queen, literally. Some baby books say full of light, like a candle, but I prefer this meaning better.

My bad girl let me see if I can find it for you. . . from what I can infer, she died of AIDS 3 days before her 9th birthday in 1997. :(
