*sigh*

In an attempt to get this back & running, there is a wild rumor that there is a ghost in the Alpha Iota suite. The suite is in the Penthouse of what was THE apartment complex of the 1920's & 30's - many corporate magnates lived there. The president of Westinghouse had the one side of our suite, for example.

Anyhow, supposedly a butler hanged himself in the one closet. I lived in that room for two years, and never heard/saw/felt anything, but others will swear they did, and have named him Charlie. Charlie!! What Butler is named Charlie? Charles, James, Jeeves - but never Charlie!

Anyhow, time for a new question:

What Alpha Delta Pi sister can be seen most weeknights on CNN?

polarpi 01-01-2004 12:51 AM

Judy Woodruff (I wish my chapter had some interesting trivia fact, but unfortunately I think we're too young for any stories to have begun! :))

What state has had the most ADPi chapters (both open and closed)?

WLFEO 01-01-2004 11:56 AM

HHHMMM..... Without consulting any official book, I'm going to guess Texas. Is that right????

honeychile 01-01-2004 12:09 PM

I was going to try without looking it up, too!

I'll guess North Carolina.

You are correct....Texas has had 15 chapters of ADPi, and I think North Carolina was second with 12 chapters :)

WFLEO, your turn to ask a question! :D

WLFEO 01-02-2004 12:06 PM

hhhmmm......Let me think.......

OK- Here's one---

What year did the Convention delegates vote to allow House Corporations to receive a vote during business meetings?

(Was that confusing the way I worded it?)

How about a hint here? Is it in Sisters?

(Btw, my copy has gone from pristine to well-thumbed, due to the many questions arising here on GreekChat! Isn't that the way it should be? :) )

WLFEO 01-08-2004 10:45 AM

OK- Here's a BIG hint---- To answer your question, Honey- No, it's not in Sisters b/c it happened after Sisters was published!

honeychile 01-08-2004 11:47 AM

Okay, since Sisters was published in 2001, it's one of two answers!

I'll guess 2002?

WLFEO 01-08-2004 12:44 PM

Sorry, Honey! There was no Convention in 2002. Guess again.... I'm pretty sure you'll get it this time! :D

honeychile 01-08-2004 09:17 PM

OOOHhhhhh...! 2003!!!

Let me think of one that doesn't make the brain hurt...

polarpi 01-20-2004 01:46 AM

Okay, honey, we're still waiting for a new brain-stumper....:D

honeychile 01-20-2004 01:51 AM

Honestly, I took not one but TWO bad falls on the ice this weekend - so my brain DOES hurt!

From which chapters were Maxine Blake and Jane Fiedler Madio?

(and I cannot believe that I know these without looking them up!)

WLFEO 01-20-2004 10:18 AM

Right off the bat I know Miss Blake (who turned 100 years old in the last week or so) is an Alpha Theta. I don't know about Mrs. Madio without looking it up. Does anyone else know?

skerbow 01-20-2004 04:20 PM

I dont' know the answer, but i wanted everyone to know that Miss Maxine Black did celebrate her 100th birthday, on January 6th, 2004. :) Anyone want to send a belated bday card? I have an address...
