I'm not gonna lie, if I were an artist, I would LOVE to be on Bad Boy. Puff makes hit records. Plain and simple. That's the Bad Boy motto. I think that most people don't want to be on the label because of Puff's business tactics. I have heard that Puff doesn't negotiate good deals. Well, they are good for him, but not the artist. Take Da Band for instance. They just rushed through and signed those contracts, but NO ONE except Sara read it. NO ONE except Sara took the thought to say, "Hey, let me have my OWN lawyer look over this."

I would be the same way if I were Puff. I think that everyone basically knows that Da Band is an "experiment" that can't really be taken seriously as the true way of handling business. If he had let them go a long time ago, he wouldn't be making more money. He has stretched this out to 3 seasons. MTV is giving him money. He's making money off the album sales. He is getting money from the release of the Making the Band DVD series. He is getting Sean John clothing advertisement. He is just being a business man. I love Puff. I wish that I could meet him.

Name the last one. Along with the artist. Let's see if that person is still with Bad Boy (unless it was a collabo w/ another label).

Faith Evans had two hit albums and she's still with Bad Boy. I wasn't feeling Faithfully , but her other two were HOT.

All of Biggie's album were hot. If he was alive, I'm sure he would still be with Bad Boy.

Carl Thomas' first album was the HOTNESS!!! His second album is rubbin' off on me too.

That's just to name a few!

That was all quite a while ago. I was speaking in terms of something more recent.

I happen to like Puffy. I just question the merits of Da Band.

I finally say this show this past weekend (yeah, I'm late) so here are my rants...

~First off, (HIJACK) Dave's parody of Bentley! HILARIOUS!!!!(END HIJACK)

~Second, Bab's frickin HAIRLINE! :eek: Is her hairline running from her face or what? :eek: Is her hairline headed back east? Is it in protest of all the weaves she puts in it? Whew! OMG someone give this child a jar of Sulfur 8 STAT! :eek: :eek:

~Someone tell Chopper there is only one Lil' Wayne and since he has the "ugliest rapper position" on lock, he needs to get with the program. YOU AIN"T NOBODY!!! But he wised up REAL quick after going back home to see how blessed he really is to have this opportunity.

~I like Sara. She needs to take what Puff told her to heart. You don't have to be straight "pull a razor and cut a heifer " ghetto, but when someone is talking crazy or treating you as such - you need to check 'em! :mad: ***cha' ching***.

I may continue to watch this after all. :)

You know DA BAND as a band suck but as entertainment, I love em. I don't miss an ep. They could put this out on DVD to make them FISH GREASE HOT!! :o

You are not right!!

The BAND only needs three members.

1. BABS (female rapper with the ghetto style) is essential to the group. Usually she is the voice of reason, because she has the most sense.

2. Ness (male rapper with the ghetto style) is also a big part of the group. Most of the time he is level headed. Plus he looks gully.

3. Sara (hot)... is also a big part of the entertainment.
You could go to just about any church and find a female doing a solo with the same (if not better) singing ability. Nevertheless, sex sells, so she doesn't have to sing well. All she has to do is look half black and half latina or white, plus wear a tight outfit, shades, and high heels. Hell, it works for Ashanti.:cool:


As for the rest of the band, they can go back to the drawing board.

Besides, this whole show is all about PUB FOR PUFF.

As a matter of fact, instead of calling it DA BAND, MTV should call it DIDDY'S PUB. :cool:

I don't know about that one. Eventhough Fred is such an azz, I do love his rap voice. But him picking on Sara all the time leads me to two conclusions:

1. You are jealous of Sara's marriage. You know if this thing does not work out, Sara's husband has her back completely. He is a true man and your a thumb sucker.

2. You love you some Sara, but she is off limits and your unset that you cannot have her. She is true to her marriage vows and her beautiful kids.

Fred's behavior towards her is something else.

That's true. Fred always compares his "relationship" to Sara and Tony's marriage. Hey dude, it doesn't even compare.

Mario Winans has the number 1 single right now with "I Don't Wanna Know." And, Carl Thomas' lastest debuted at like number 2 on the charts. Diddy knows how to make some hits. Longevity might not be his strong point, but he can definitely do a quick hit.

Aside from Mario and Carl, the hits may not come from the Bad Boy label directly, but they are still Diddy hits nonetheless.
