That's the only way Boston can break the curse of the Bambino, they gotta beat the hated Yanks to get to the Series. Plus, with the absolute hatred the Sox fans have for the Yanks, that series will either lead to a mass riot in Boston or mass suicides by depressed beantowners.

because Trot Nixon has been my favorite player for the sox since he started playing for them. I went through a Mo Vaughn/Scott Hatteburg/Jeff Frye stage, and then it was Shea Hillenbrand (I'm STILL pissed about that trade...Oh you should have HEARD the names I was calling Kim when he f-ed up that 8th inning in the 1st game against Oakland the other night. I sounded like a truck driver...). But now, it's Trot. All Trot, all the time. (I was telling the active sisters the only thing I have trouble with during pledging is not wearing my Nixon jersey!) Last night, I turned to my friend Zach and I was like "Wouldn't it be nice if the sox won this game and it was MY Trot Nixon that did it?" YAN-KEES SUCK" reverberating throughout the streets of Boston.

The Boston Red Sox, while obviously not the best team in the league, are a FUN team. It's FUN to be a fan. They're going far this year guys. Those are my boys.
