Under special conditions: the final destinations movie

The first should not be shown during a flight and the second should not be shown during a drive. I was on a bus trip and they showed us FD2. Can you imagine all those people riding a bus on the highway watching a movie that opened with a 14 car pile-up? I almost cried, it was so awful, we were quiet the whole way.

Oh, and Cabin Fever. That was THE WORLD'S DUMBEST movie, I was so disappointed, the only funny part was at the very end as the credits were rolling.

YES! That movie was AWFUL. There's another 'scary' one that came out and it was pretty horrible too...THEY. I'm a chicken, and it was terrible!

Fantastic 4 was ghey.

Two words: Club Dread. One of the worst movies I've ever seen. I'm not sure if they were trying to make a comedy scary or a horror movie comical, but either way it just didn't work. It was so disappointing considering I loved Supertroopers...

Star Wars Episode I: I like these movies, but Jar Jar and the little kid make it unbearable. They should've honestly done three hours of Darth Maul, and kept him for later movies instead of stupid freakin' Jar Jar.</nerd rant>
Constantine: not even pretty Keanu could save it.
Pride and Prejudice: not necessarily bad, just highly, highly overrated and I got really sick of chicks in my dorm last year who could quote the freakin' uber-long A&E version word-for-word
Van Helsing: like SW Ep. I, it's only good for MST3K parties with other nerds who think it's a lame movie and there's endless fun to be had makin' fun of it.
The Village: I couldn't get past the fact that it's a bloody porcupine in a cloak. What the heck?!
Maid in Manhattan: the only entertaining part of the entire movie was the statue's falling-off pecker. The rest was a completely uninspired chick flick, shown against my better judgement on a choir trip bus. Ick.
The Cable Guy: usually, I love Jim Carrey. This movie makes me want to kick him in the happy place, and that's not cool. He's so annoying!

Plus any of those made-for-TV Lifetime movies. I can't stand 'em.

ETA: Just remembered: Land Before Time and Free Willy #1 to infinity...same dull stuff, ninety-seven kazillion times. End the madness!
Plus I could only stomach Titanic once. It wasn't that bad, but it was bad enough for me to only see it once and that's that. Never again.

SW: APM - I think had some redeeming qualities to it, and I really don't see the problem with Jar Jar...REALLY.....

now A&E/BBC version of Pride and Prejudice with Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth is a GREAT adaptation to a great novel (one of my favorites, if not my favorite). I've seen many versions of P & P and this is by far the best, the 2nd best is the BBC version of the 80s I believe. This newer version doesn't even appeal to me (coming out in Sept I believe). Don't let some silly girls, ruin a great movie, from one of the best novels ever written.

I don't know, maybe SW: APM is a "see once, on TV or rented" sort of thing because you're right, there were redeeming qualities (really awesome special effects, some pretty good fight scenes, I rate movies like a guy, and of course, Darth Maul, who should've been a better-developed character, IMHO). But even after watching it on rental, it was just like, "huh? so Amidala's in love at first sight with someone who looks half her age? ewwww."

P&P would be okay if you like Jane Austen...however, I'm not that much of a fan...perhaps living near sane people for a year who don't quote it every two seconds (it got almost as bad as Napoleon Dynamite in that respect, ick!) will make me eventually come around to "okay, this isn't all that bad." But for now...no.

New York Minute. That, and someone has (hopefully) already said it, but it stars Freddie Prinze Jr. and the plot surrounds some girl living with supermodels and they think Jr. killed someone. God, I can't believe the studio that made that actually expected people to like it!

AnonAlumna 07-12-2005 08:47 AM

That's Head Over Heels, and it just happens to be one of my guilty pleasure movies. It cracks me up! :D

Agree with you totally. Dracula is supposed to be the baddest mofo and he got bitch slap. I've herd that Snipes wasn't happy about it and that's why he didn't do that much PR work for it.

Starship Troopers 2. That movie had no redeeming quality whatsoever. Even the nudity scene sucked.

i got a vote for the stepford wives today...
