JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE.....

On Saturday 2/28/04 at 3:52 pm Ava Chantal was born. My daughter weighs at 5 lbs 1.6 oz and is 17.5 inches long. This 33 week old preemie is currently in Neonatal ICU and is doing well. Me and hubby are fine, we ask that you pray for Ava for that she will be in the ICU for the next few weeks. I hope to have pictures shortly, but in the meantime I just wanted to share this news.

So to all of my GC'ers hoping for an April baby, sorry guys.

Please pray for a dear friend of my family. Her two year old daughter Allison was found Monday face down in a garden pool (one of those koi ponds). She was dead, but a neighbor revived her until the ambulance came.

Today, the doctors are pulling her off life support. Please pray for the family. The grandmother was watching Allison when this happened, and she is so filled with guilt that she is under suicide watch. Both parents are distraught as well.

Please pray that God will comfort them during this time.

Please keep my family in your prayers my uncle is leaving for Iraq on the 3rd of April. His 11 yr. old son is not taking it very well.

OMG, for both of you. :(
Poor granny. :(

Ideal08 03-18-2004 01:24 PM

CG and HK1074, I will keep your uncle (and family) and Allison's family in my prayers.

Y'all, just pray for a sista's sanity.

Honeykiss1974 03-18-2004 01:31 PM

My prayers are with you Ideal08, CountryGirl, and anyone else needing intercession.

Here's an update on Allison:

Her mom wants to pull her off life support, but her father still doesn't. Not only has Allison's kidneys, liver, and one lung have stop functioning, but now the doctors may amputate Allison's hand because there is no circulation.

Her father still will not consent to taking Allison off life-support. Instead, he is not coping with this well at all. He is calling his wife's mother a murderer and all other kinds of things.

Please keep this family in your prayers. Pray that God will heal his heart and fill him up with peace and the wisdom to do what's best for Allison.

I get teary just thinking about this situation. :(

Thanks for everyones prayers and well wishes.

HK1974- I will continue to pray for your loves ones. It is so hard to see a child suffer.

Ideal- I understand you need of pray! My great-grandmother stressed that everyone pray that she keep her sanity "Cher, pray Madea stay in the right mind... folks treat you anyway when you loose by the head". From my lips to God's ears "Please let Ideal keep her sanity". ;)

Once again thanks for the prayers.

To all,

please keep my grandmother and my cousin in your prayers. my Nana had a stroke last night and is not doing well at all.
we're hoping against hope that she'll pull through. my cousin just lost his wife this week to cancer. she was only 34.
right now, i'm typing in near tears. i'm so afraid to lose my Nana. she's been through a lot healthwise and with the loss of her mother, my great-grandmother 1/12 yrs. ago. she's a fighter and i hope that she's still got a lot of fight left. my cousin seems strong but how can one be after losing a spouse?
thank you for reading.

Lord, we come before you right now asking for blessings and miracles that we know only you are capable of. We ask that all those who are ailing and sick, may be restored. Lord, we know that we should not lean into our understanding, so heal our hearts and our minds. Help us to cope with things that happen in our lives and to those we love. Give us peace and let us be able to carry on in time of tragedy, guilt, and confusion. Lord, we know that to be absent from the body is to be one with Christ, but we still seek comfort Lord. We're only human and it's hard sometimes. But we thank you in advance for the peace, blessings and restoration that you will provide in our lives and the lives of those we love. In your most holy name we ask these blessings. Amen
