Basement Jaxx have been relatively popular here for at least 5 years. They even had a song off their first album in a Coca-Cola commercial.
The Mars Volta is an awesome band. Two of the guys from At The Drive-In are in it. Amazing performers...unfortunately I've only seen videos of their shows. |
Blindspot, an AWESOME ska band...

Pearl Jam
A great band from Seattle. You should check them out. They are like a mix of Staind and Train. |

They are by far my fav band. I've watched the new DVD wayyy too many times to admit. Wish I could quit school & follow them around going to shows...like SpreadHead or something...guess that makes me a PearlHead? |
I like FeFe Dobson. She's from Canada and sings "Take Me Away". She's already huge here.

A few from when I was in school. They all sound a lot alike--rock/folk/blues mix. Live shows are awesome. I don't know if they're all still playing together or not.
The Nadas www.thenadas.com They've been together 10 years now. All 4 of the founding members were members of a GLO at Iowa State--3 Pi Kapps and one Phi Delt. The Bass player has since left the band and been replaced. I will love this band forevah. Dazy Head Mazy Just a lot of fun. I think they know almost every member of Tri Delta from when I was in school by name, so many came to their shows. Domestic Problems Great band from Michigan. The Why Store Mr. ISUKappa's favorite band from college. The lead singer sings/looks/acts like he's constantly stoned. |
Call the Cops
My new favorite band. www.CalltheCopsMusic.com listen to their song called Lost Her Anyway it's a really nice song |

They're a local band in the Cincinnati area (Xavier students and grads), and their CD "We Scholars" is amazing. |
