Okay, I don't think this post was directed toward me, but I am going to address the issues raised.

No one is "bashing" you guys. We are simply bringing to light another side of the argument, which caused SOME people to absolutely BLAST certain posters on a personal level.

Now before anyone says that they, too, were simply bringing a point to the table (i.e. Sigmas have cast all Greeks in a negative light), nope, don't buy it. Why? Because that is absolutely NOT what happened. Maybe that statement WAS made, but it was buried in between the gripes about new member's makeup no-no's and other comments that were downright catty. Most of these comments were not only directed toward the guilty parties (i.e. Candace and Jordan), but onto the ORGANIZATION AS A WHOLE. I think that this is the problem. Then when someone speaks up and says, simply, that the over-generalization was not called for, people absolutely BLOW things out of proportion and start getting tres defensive. Phisigchic...please stop reveling in that same old mantra. Your argument holds no merit because it supports exactly what you are arguing AGAINST! We can absolutely get over this, I am all for it. But before we do, I think one of your own comments speaks volumes...

Really? Would NEVER have guessed that by all of the posts that were SURE that this show was going to cause the death of the Greek system as we know it.

What should be done about this thread???

a) keep it up.....its a nice way to relive anger after a long day

Interesting, I'm just wondering about something. I believe just a while ago an article came out in regards to a certain sorority. Yet it was not a nice thing to talk about said sorority. But SAEPi simply doesn't have the pull that they have I suppose, and freedom of speech is guaranteed when making remarks in regards to them. Perhaps they should recruit the wahine chick (ooooh I used chick)...she's got SPUNK!

I have to say it again, Rudey does have a very valid point. You can post all day long how stupid and bitch and fake SAEPi is and the moderaters dont seem to mind, but you mention something about a "real" sorority and that shit doesnt live to see it's first sunset.

Yeah, I picked up on it. However, it seems that you haven't and you've been here longer than me. ;)

People, common sense makes this very plain and simple. This thread is about "ENOUGH OF THE SIGMA BASHING". If you are perfectly fine with making bitchy comments every episode then go to one of the NUMEROUS bitchy threads and pay no mind to this one. If people want to stick up for them, then let them. Obviously, many of you bashers are offended by what was said and you know that to a degree you are being petty. If you didn't feel some sort of way about it, this thread wouldn't be so long.

There are too many to count threads about the "Sorority Life" show with different titles. This thread was started because someone recognized the pettiness going on and it turned into another negative thread. It’s sad that some greeks thrive on the negativity and yearn to continue it. This is the image that you guys need to be worried about considering there are people besides greeks that frequent these boards.

ok librasoul and observant1 you guys need to CHILL already. because all we are trying to do is get everyone just to stop arguing about the show and to just forget about this thread already. and all you guys keep doing is BASHING us. and I for one am getting really tired of it. I am sure the other Greeks are too. (yea I know I am just asking for trouble, but I just couldn't take it anymore).

I second that. However, I wouldn't say it's the moderators. It has more to do with some of the people in the "real" sororities. If someone dares to say something negative about them, they are quick to request deletion of the thread. Now, when they get the chance to lay the dirt on someone else the delete petitioners are out to lunch.
