That dress! Wow.

Love all the fascinators the guests are wearing.

I sure hope so because I realized I missed the vows, too!

How beautiful. Gosh, those church bells! And the horses were so elegant but definitely very jaunty. It was awesome watching the wide shots of all the horses, it looked like they were in fast forward with all their riders bouncing in time to each other. :p

Oh I do wish them well. That was such a beautiful wedding and they look so happy. Except during those long prayers when Kate looked a bit glazed over and William was staring around. :D

If I hadn't given my tiara/veil to my sister-in-law for her wedding, I probably would have dug it out. It was pretty and I hope she passes it on to more family.

ASUADPi 04-29-2011 07:59 AM

I WANT HER DRESS!!!!!

NinjaPoodle 04-29-2011 08:00 AM

I love the church bells!

baci 04-29-2011 08:26 AM

The bride did not "wow" me like I had hope. Overall, everyone looked lovely.

SydneyK 04-29-2011 08:28 AM

Wow. What a short kiss!
The dress is still lovely, though. :D

ETA: The second kiss was better.
And, ITA about the church bells - that was one of my favorite parts.

NinjaPoodle 04-29-2011 08:39 AM

^^^ I agree that #2 was better.

ForeverRoses 04-29-2011 08:42 AM

Love the dress, didn't really like her bouquet though. Kiss #2 was great. I loved playing spot the royal family memembers.

Oh and dear India Hicks, Margarita Armstrong-Jones is NOT Lady Sarah's daughter. It's her niece.

That's why I DVRed on BBCAmerica and CNN. Only saw a little bit this morning -- we'll watch it tonight.

We're still wondering what happened to our invitations. I am, after all, William's cousin on the Spencer side -- at least that's what my cousin, the current family geneologist claims. I always forget exactly how it works; we're something like ninth cousins. I need to ask him again. Oh well. I'm not sure I could have gone to London this week anyway. So there.

Currently, the English Cross of St. George

is flying outside our house. (I put it up for St. George's Day last Saturday and left it up for today.) Maybe later today, I'll switch it out with the Scottish Cross of St. Andrew:

Hi, I'm MysticCat and I'm a Total Britophilic Nerd.

AlphaFrog 04-29-2011 08:59 AM

So, since she's Princess William of Wales, Duchess of Cambridge, but will use the Duchess title as her "official" title, will people (or, I guess are people supposed to) refer to her as Princess Kate, Lady Kate, Duchess Kate??

Other random monarchy questions: if William becomes king someday, is she as a former commoner eligible to become queen? If so, and William dies before her, does she remain queen, or does it pass to the next heir?

I'm sure someone will chime in with more detail than either of us care to know, but no. She's not an heir to the throne, just Queen Consort...it's like when George VI Elizabeth became Queen, and not her mom.
