Ugh. But here's cheers to year 23!

For those who haven't heard this yet, the Final Four will be the last four teams to take the Stanley Cup: Penguins (2009), Black Hawks (2010), Bruins (2011), and Kings (2012). Don't think that's ever happened before in any sport.

Wow, that's a crazy stat... And a pretty awesome one, considering my Bruins are part of it :D

ETA: I just sent this to my brother, and he informed me that if you want to include the Red Wings, the "final five" teams were the last 5 to take the Stanley Cup. The Red Wings won in 2008.

(I had taken that part out, so I didn't seem to be rubbing it in.)

The Wings gave us a great season and will be a force to reckon with once these rookies find their groove and the team gets better at playing together. For a rebuilding year, coming that close and putting up that much of a fight against Chicago is a great achievement! Good luck to the original 6 teams!

I just typed a farewell message to the Sharks and a grudging congrats to the Kings. Then my computer hiccupped and I lost it. I don't have the heart to type that twice.

It was sooo stressful! I should have seen it coming, though. The Bruins have this innate ability to keep me on the brink of having a heart attack during nearly every game.
