When it rains in Tuscaloosa, will the Alabama Tide turn into bubbles?

How the hell does my team lose to a winless team? FAU, you disappoint me. That interception in the fourth should never have been anywhere near the outside linebacker because he was playing zone like 10 yards in front of your receiver. Learn to make clutch passes

Oh well. At least my Wolverines beat up on Bowling Green, so I can be somewhat happy.

70-3!

(I can't brag too much though, because it wasn't conference and was slightly unfair. Next week, I will brag :) )

I feel bad for the MAC schools getting pounded by the Big 10 schools every year, but the bottom line for the MAC is money. Playing a Big 10 team in a Big 10 stadium means a significant check for the MAC member's athletic department, and can really impact their bottom line. Travel costs aren't too bad either- BG is about 1.5-2 hours from Ann Arbor. Ohio U is what, 2 hours from Columbus? I would imagine it is the same for other similar schools that play big SEC, ACC, etc. teams.

The experience can also be a positive. One of my brothers was on FAU's team, and he said playing Florida was great big-game experience because even though they (predictably) got crushed it gave them exposure to things like big-game atmosphere that we don't really get too much of in Sun Belt.

Yes, but it doesn't make the losses for MAC alumni feel any better. :(

I'm beyond making peace with this set up.

Schools stopped caring about that a long time ago! My alma mater went as far as changing our name against alumni opposition to make it easier to make money with our football program as whipping boys for bigger schools. Apparently a directional name, ie. Northeast Louisiana University, was too difficult for people to understand, so we changed to the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Not to mention, we were National Champions at the 1AA (or whatever it used to be called...that was 15 years ago :D) and we moved up to 1A just for the money.

Yes. I think I shall post this many times on my FB. My arrogant USC friends are all silent now and it is beautiful.

Yea!!!! So, I totally don't like Steve Spurrier but happy his team beat the Tide.

FINALLY, the Gators had had bad luck!!! :D I am sooo tired of how it always seems they luck out at the last second.

Now, if that could extend to when the Dawgs play them.

GOOOO, MY TEAMS!:D

I'm kind of surprised that none of the sports analysts I listened to made a note that Michigan has lost 3 years in a row and Rich Rod has been the coach for 3 years. Coincidence? I think not.
