You must have had that same Iraqi TA that I had.

Just stumbled on this thread and am so glad I found it! I am obsessed with all things rush, so this parental realtime update is wonderful!

Wishing Cassie, Emma and Suzie good luck!

Go Cards!

I actually love the statistics part of recruitment, I know it may sound a bit sick but I do my own math each year (and I use the previous two years stats) with the two chapters I work with and so far I've been either right on or within one of the correct quota # for the past three years. if you love math its fun-- like I said, I love statistics ( I'm odd, I know):p

An important thing to remember with invites is that no matter how many you get (or how few) you can only get one bid :)

Thank you to those sharing their PNMs recruitment stories with us. Aurburn seems like a completely different world from my schools in the northeast, and it's fun to live vicariously for the week. Thank you for taking the time to share!!

Good luck to all the girls!

Day 4 - Quick update

Just talked to Emma.

She has competed today's parties and has already gone to the computer lab to turn in her preferences.

She still feels pretty good about each of the groups that she liked before.

Her favorites so far are, not in any particular order:

Reds
Diamondbacks
Pirates
Blue Jays
Rays
Angels
Dodgers

She would also probably be fine with at least three of the other remaining groups from this round.

She understands that some of the heaviest cuts will come after this round, but is hoping for the best. Until tomorrow morning, she will take advantage of the time off to do some important things like shop for textbooks, work on her room, etc.

I hope to have more tonight.

sending good vibes to her and all the other auburn pnms.

I will keep my fingers crossed for Emma and Cassie, I spoke to Suzie earlier today and she was headed back to get some sleep. She is nervous about tomorrow but hopes some of her favorites are there.

Since auburndad did baseball- I think I'll do football teams for Suzie,

Her teams as of Philanthropy Day were;

49ers
NO Saints
Atlanta Falcons
Arizona Cardinals
Carolina Panthers
Cleveland browns
Seattle Seahawks
Chicago Bears
Denver Broncos
San Diego Chargers
Oakland Raiders
St Louis Rams

Her Favorites were;
49ers
Cardinals
Falcons
Saints
Panthers

while she like many others , she felt these 5 matched her personality and goals the best. ** Please note-- colors, location etc of teams were randomly chosen***

Keeping everyone is my thoughts as tomorrow shall be here soon

Hearing that GPAs are super competitive for some sororities this year--even with legacies. Have a cousin going through and it seems like a great group this year.

I guess I'll root for the 49ers since I used to enjoy the 49er teams of the 80's.

All I know is that I couldn't understand a word he was saying. I just scribbled down what he was writing on the board and hoped it would make some sense later.

Woo! Seattle finally made a showing in Merry's list (but let's be honest, our sports are subpar).

I wish we could merge the lists for Emma, Cassie, and Suzie so we knew whether there was overlap or they all had completely different favorites. Oh well- we shall see when the results come out!

Yeah AuburnDad.. I'm a huge 49er football fan, loved seeing Jerry Rice being inducted into the Hall of Fame this past weekend. He is as nice as he is amazing! :D

She will have lunch break, so I may hear from her then. She had some interesting insight on the impact of having or not having a rec letter which I will probably share later on tonight.

Carnation, with the next round of cuts, are the PNM's selections "true cuts", or like the first round, do you list all of the groups and then if you don't get your top 7, one or more of the others move up to replace those spots?

AuDad - would be interested to hear the insight you mentioned above about having a rec or not....

I was at Auburn today to help with vote counting. It was a sunny hot day - whew! The girls (pnms) - if they wanted - were allowed to wait inside in between parties due to the heat. I had to walk over many of them just to get to the Gamma Phi area :p and they were all busy scribbling notes about the various sororities onto sheets of paper and in their recruitment handbooks etc.

I understand that when recruitment officially started, there were just under 1200 girls going thru...there had been more than 1200 registered but some dropped right from the outset.

My four local rec girls seem to be doing great so far!:D
