Also, the internet didn't exist when the real Alpha Sigs were founded back in the 1800s either... |

There was a high school clique called Alpha SIgma Phi, but despite their claims, they were not affiliated with the college Alpha Sigma Phi. The high school version of Alpha Sigma Phi had different colors and coat of arms from the college version. Also applying common logic, why would a college fraternity ever establish chapers in high schools? Not to mention that the high school Phi was a violent bunch. In addtion to Phi, there was Omega Gamma Delta (Black and Gold) which was established in 1902 and at one time was the largest high school fraternity ever in existence with a national office. My fraternity was Alpha Omega Theta (Green and Red). There is a book about AOT and the other high school fraternities of Long Island called Fraternal Brotherhood Hazing stories, fraternity brawls, keg parties, its a good book. |

Heh heh, awesome! Not interested. Man, where was I when this thread first showed up??? Ridiculousness all around. |
I completely forgot about this thread. What an appropriate "welcome home" for me, since I just got back for break...
Alphadog, the fraternity website linked off the book website was interesting, thanks for sharing it. |
who ever said a fraternity was bound to the college campus? i believe fraternity means brotherhood does it not? correct me if im wrong... specifically a brotherhood made up of young men in search of a common goal. im in a highschool fraternity myself. you probably will not it find in any books or records because the organization is close to brand new. but it bugs me to see college frats who are so quick to look down on the unity and persistence of highschoolers to make a better community for themselves. every fraternity or sorority member i have talked to has been all for the founding of my fraternity because they know what its all about.
