I think it really may have been the idol that Marcus supposedly threw out to sea (like Bob said). Somehow Marcus kept it. I dunno, that'd be AWESOME though if that's the case.

Yea, wait... what did Sugar do with her idol? I know she kept it in her bag, way back when everyone found it… but where has she kept it since? I don’t believe they’ve mentioned anything about this, but I could be wrong.

What if Bob took it  He could either use it, only telling Corinne about it… he could use it to blackmail Sugar and those people in her alliance… or he could fake out Corinne and give it back to Sugar.

Ahh! I need it to be Thursday!

Yeah, I know I'm quoting myself. I looked at the CBS recaps, and there it says that Randy tossed the bottle in the ocean. So, it seems that if Marcus really did make a switch, Randy would have had to have known it.

Because I seem to have too much time on my hands (or an aversion to getting done what I need to get done), I went to CBS.com and looked at clips from the feast. I really don't think the idol they showed briefly in the preview is the same as the one from the feast. The one they showed in the preview have lots of colored beads on it. You don't see any colored beads on the one from the feast. There's also a scene where Randy talks about having "given the idol to the ocean." And check this, where Bob holds up the idol (the one they show in the preview, not the one he made on Exile Island) and says "that would fool me."

Meanwhile, am I the only one just learning that Matty is James Whitmore's grandson?

Yea, that idol definitely doesn't look like the other one. If this is another strategic move on Bob's part, and it works, then either Bob is very smart or Corinne is very dumb (and I'd tend to lean toward the latter). I want Corinne out of the game so badly, but I'd hope (for her own sake) that she'd be able to figure out that Bob is lying... or at least be just a little skeptical of him. If she just falls right into it, then she deserves to leave the game... especially because Bob just tricked Randy, a member of their alliance, and because they're behind in the numbers game... by a lot. Bob was clearly working with the other alliance to get rid of Randy (and to make him look like an idiot), and if Corinne is 100% sure that Bob wouldn't do that to her, then she's sadly mistaken.

Maybe not so clearly. Bob voted for Susie -- the only reason to do that is so that the Sadly Mistaken One (who, after all, still seems to think it impossible that Sugar could have found the immunity idol during all her time at Exile Island) might believe he's still with her.

I vaguely recall someone telling her to start wearing it at all times now and to never let it leave her sight. May be wrong though?

What? Apparently, I'm the last to know that Matty is James Whitmore's grandson - I had no idea!

I also had completely missed the part when Bob said he had another idol. I need to start paying more attention to the previews, I guess!

This is probably a stupid question, but if someone (Bob, for instance, since he's the one with another idol) goes through Sugar's things and takes her idol, is it now his? Can it really be that easy? (Completely unethical, of course, but this is Survivor we're talking about here.)

Yea, but Corinne knows that Bob made the fake idol and passed it on to Randy. I think that Bob voted for Susie to make it look to RANDY like it wasn't him who tricked him. Remember, you have to keep the jury happy, too. And whether Sugar has the idol or not, Corinne should be worried and watching her back, knowing that even if Sugar was voted out, they're still coming up short in the numbers game.

I know that Ace told her way back that she shouldn't keep it in her bag and that she should hold on to it. But I don't know if they've mentioned where she's been keeping it since then.

She knows Bob passed it to Randy and she may (should!) suspect that Bob knew it was fake, but does she know that he knew it was fake? I didn't see anything showing that she knew that. I expect Bob to tell her he thought it was real. It doesn't do Bob any good just to fool Randy while letting Corinne know that he knew the idol was fake -- she'd make sure the rest of the jury found out.

And SydneyK, I could be wrong, but yes, I think that the idol can be stolen. And yes, he's James Whitmore's grandson. Apparently, he had a sizeable trust fund from granddaddy that came to him when he was 18. He says it was an education trust fund. It's all gone now.

I'm pretty sure everyone was high-fiving Bob when they got back to camp after the last tribal council. If Corinne didn't see what was going on, then she's definitely dumb.

If Bob makes it to the final three, I imagine he’s going to have some explaining to do. But I still think that no matter what, he has just as good of a chance at winning as anyone else there. I mean… he’s Bob! If he fooled me, and everyone I was in an alliance with, and he somehow made it to the top three when the numbers were stacked against him for so long, I’d vote for him to win. Other than doing what’s necessary for him to win, he hasn’t pissed anyone off. Excluding Matty, I don’t think there’s really anyone else you can say that about.

I'm confused. When did they show the return to camp? Didn't the episode end with the usual arial view of everyone carrying their torches away from tribal council? The return to camp should start this week's episode. Did I completely miss something?

Even so, Bob can tell Corinne that everybody else assumes he tricked Randy and that he's letting them think that to keep himself a little safer, but that he really didn't know. Since Corinne thinks she and Bob are the only ones out there with any smarts at all, it might not be that hard a sell.

Maybe I'm thinking about the episode before? When everyone was excited about Sugar voting their way, leaving Randy, Corinne and Bob with fewer people in their alliance than the other one.

Either way, you're right about Corinne... she thinks she's the best thing since sliced bread, and that everyone else is too dumb to play the game.... and I guarantee it's going to come back and bite her.

Meanwhile, Bob has to know that if he makes it to the final three, someone on the jury is going to know what he did. It's all going to come out. Who knows, one of the final three players could expose him. Anything to win, right?

According to wiki, it can't be stolen. Otherwise, I'm sure Crystal would have kept it when she found it in Sugar's bag.

I haven't seen the preview where they talk about a marriage proposal, but since this is the week the family members probably come, I'm betting Matty proposes to Jamie.

Good call, AlphaFrog. I bet you're right.

Definitely forgot about the family members coming. I haven't really watched this show since the first season. I bet that's it. :)
