But you know that when you worked from home last week nobody believed that you were really sick. Then when you come in, they act all offended that you're coughing in their space. People are never happy.

Exactly! I came in on Thursday when I was at my sickest so that they could see I wasn't joking, though.

I'm def getting sick. Sore throat started yesterday, lack of energy and minor chills today. Just cuz I'm sick and feel like being bratty, I'm blaming the sudden onslaught on K_S, he shared his germs via his twitter come back.

I know I grumble about the cost of going to the doc but this is one time the $50 (and the pills and the steroids and the rinse) was clearly worth it. There will probably be a bill coming soon but I shan't complain about that either.

I was talking to a friend of mine, and she said that she's had it for 3 weeks, and several other teachers at her school have had it for over a month. The other symptoms stop, but the cough endureth. blech.

I've been having hearing problems for a while now (after a cold), and I'm finally going to a doctor on Wednesday. I've seen this guy before, and he's pretty good. Ahhhh I want to hear better!!

Sick. SICK. Srsly? You'd think there was a faucet in my nose and I sound like a dude. As if the sinus infection wasn't bad enough. Oh well, off work for 2 days. They gave me off tomorrow, too. Coming in coughing on people gets the job DONE. It's usually pulling teeth getting a day off on the plantation but they couldn't wait for me to get the heck on.

It's apparently going to be a really bad flu season. Several Chicago hospitals have had to turn away patients from the ER since last night. I think I had the flu (if not then I guess a really bad cold? But I was confined to bed for 2 days soooo) that is going around. Got it right before Christmas. Now I have the stomach bug that also seems to be going around. So hopefully I'm done for the winter!

Thankful for Mr. LP, he got me tons of ginger ale and pepto this morning and is currently getting a heading pad for my aching body!

Anyone else get hit with anything?

I'm getting over the stomach bug. I still get nauseated whenever I eat or drink anything, but I'm at least keeping it down.

I am hand sanitizing and Lysoling the crap out of my desk, pen, coffee cup, and keyboard/mouse and refuse to touch any of those items without sanitizing after touching something communal (doorknobs, microwave handle, water cooler). I DO NOT WANT THIS CRAP

I totally forgot about this thread and should have been posting in it last week! But my cough is still alive and well so I guess I'm still in the right place. :)

I am really tired of the dry tickly cough. If I could just hock up a couple giant loogies I would feel a ton better.

I went to my doctor yesterday, and he said I have the flu...104 temp, and my head and body are hurting like something awful. It hit me in full this morning, I guess. I feel like I'm dying :(.

Do what your Dr. tells you and drink plenty of fluids. And have someone check in on you, often.

My boss apparently has the nasty norovirus that's floating around, and despite fully knowing he's contagious even after feeling better, he still wants to come in to work tomorrow! STAY AWAY FROM MEEEEEEEE

Then he's an ass. It is irresponsible to knowingly expose others when you know you are contagious.

My coworker told him that. It's even better given that it's a cube farm and within the 6 cubes surrounding him are 3 parents of little kids, 1 pregnant woman, and 1 parent of an autistic kid. It's completely irresponsible and he does it every single time he's sick

I've had random coughing attacks for about a month now. Usually every couple days. I don't understand.

You may want to get checked for GERD. I had a terrible cough unrelated to anything. Doctors kept piling on allergy meds and inhalers. One genius pulmnologist put me on Nexium and it solved everything. I never had any heartburn or the other usual symptoms. Just a cough I couldn't shake.

I suppose it's not quite a sickness, but a rash. I have pityriasis rosea and it is beyond annoying! It isn't contagious, but it is pretty ugly. Plus I am in the minority that gets itchy. Every time I think it is going away, like fading, it spreads further. :(

^^I have had that and before I had a diagnosis it was horrendous because I thought I had some eczema or something and I wasn't living at home at the time and was dealing with it by myself. It came back the next year, but thankfully not since then.

I'm currently dealing with a sinus infection and headache of epic proportions. :(
