WHAT is Dr. M up to? Poor Sean is being used as a pawn.
Nate? and SHEENA?? |
This episode was pretty good just as last week's was. I still wanna know how Kiaterria is going to address Stasha's question about K's knowledge of the shadiness.
Dr. M can't be much better than Dr. F because he's being just as shady as she was. Poor Sean really wants to do a good job, but I bet he can't believe someone he respects and holds in high regard is using him for his own agenda. *sigh* That was so nice of Nate. Sheena... I like Carsen's definition of "we". LOL But can I get some spell check on these episodes? LOOSE does not equal LOSE, and there were more minor errors. Otherwise, the soap is still doing okay. :) |
I have been searching all over for As the sands burn. What is the new website?

every hookup in ATSB is the same: drama ensues, someone runs into the arms of another greek crying, looking for comfort and then they kiss and/or hook up.
they either spend the next couple episodes making sure their SO's dont find out and ignoring each other's phone calls. |

Dr. M isn't much better. Remember when he wanted to name it Institute of the Alpha? Melinda's big downfall is Mona (& the adultery). Otherwise, students and faculty seem to like her work. Dr. M would change everything with his power-hungry butt. Wanting to keep the job with deception shows how trife he is. At least Melinda didn't try to deny her wrongdoings. She stood up for it. |

I was kind of disappointed that the situation with Melinda and her god daughter wasn't visited in this episode. I want to know if Melinda will end up finding out what her precious Mona did

Am I the only one who thinks these episodes are getting shorter and shorter in length in order to drag out each season?
In past seasons, at least 3-5 major bombshells were dropped per episode. Now I feel like it won't be until the finale that we get answers to at least some of the questions. Dr. M sounds like he has a Napoleonic complex - intimidated by every other orgs. history and accomplishments that he's willing to risk the good of the university just to promote Iota. |

Dr. M: Yes, he seems to have a Napoleonic complex. |
Welp, here's the rundown:
Stasha can't trust anyone and will have to go to Planned Parenthood to get tested. If she's positive, she may either commit double homicide or suicide. Joi isn't over Patrick and I think eventually Jovan will dump her because of it. I knew Lashonda wasn't gonna tell Melinda anything with Mona sitting there, but I hope that Melinda was listening to everything Mona said. I also hope that Lashonda tells her mother EVERYTHING!!!!! That would help to strengthen their relationship and it'll make Valerie wanna kick Mona's ass!!!!! |
I was hoping Melinda only pretended to walk away and was listening instead. Since Lashonda made it to the car without an outburst from Melinda, that's probably unlikely.
I could've skipped this episode for all the things that were revealed. Melinda is none the wiser. Stasha's still in the dark about Kyle's HIV. Joi is still stupid. There was nothing new. |
I don't mean to sound harsh. I understand that the writers volunteer their time. I was just hoping for something to come to light.
|
I am kind of bored with it right now. :shrugs:
|
Can we get just a little bit longer on the episodes? I feel like half of the new episode is the last half of the old episode and a lot of repetition (sp?) I do better when I forget to read for 5 weeks and play catch up. Seems more worth my time then. :(
|
I was thinking poor Stasha may have a nervous breakdown as well as suicidal and/or homicidal tendencies if she tests positive.
I'm sad Lashonda isn't any wiser at all after her experiences. If talking to Auntie Linda would get Lashonda in trouble and ruin her chances for AKA, then why is Mona chasing you to interrupt your lunch date? Where are the critical thinking skills? Speaking of which..., my critical thinking skills show me the eps aren't long enough, and this is dragging out more than it should. I could see if the new AKAs received meaningful names or we were witnessing a process. It's just messy drama that goes on and on. I'm becoming jaded, too. (I really don't want to, but I am.) |
I read the new episode, and I was definitely, reeeeeeeeeeeally
not impressed....... *crickets* What I'm waiting on is: 1) the party the Alphas are gonna throw for the Dreamgirls, 2) if anyone is gonna out Tierra as being a previous "Baby Paper Wait," 3) to see what PJ has in store for Mona, 4) what Krystalyn is gonna do to Joi, 5) when Taylor is gonna transfer back to Amgis, 6) as well as what's gonna happen with Lashonda- who's gonna find out first about her "Baby Paper Wait" status: Melinda or her mom? |
DITTO!! I mean, I know its summer time and all, but sheesh. A bit more drama, please? And will Patrick ever acknowledge his son? Krys and Joi should be interesting. They now have to cross Joi. Hmmm..

Snoozefest. Could that episode be anymore boring
|
The only good thing was Valerie getting into it and "keeping it real" with Mommy Ferguson. Too bad she only did it when her daughter went online. I'm sure Valerie had other opportunities to address her goddaughter's behavior.
Otherwise, this was another snoozefest. We knew Stasha's ex's (Kyle?) status, so why was that a cliffhanger? We couldn't get a slap or guttaral scream of rage? Even Stasha fainting would've been better than the ex getting the last word. I keep reading holding on to the hope it'll get much better and worthy of addiction status, but it doesn't - even halfway into Season 2. And where is PJ?! |
It's getting there. @ least we know that Stasha knows. Maybe Tierra will come clean, too. I don't want to revisit the Taylor/Laci/Keshawn love triangle next week. What are the other story lines? I can't really remember. I'm having a hard time remembering some characters, too (Sydney, Camille, etc...)

This one has been more interesting then most of the last few, but it is still dragging. I agree, the Melinda/Valerie dialogue was the most interesting, but that will mean nothing if it takes another eight episodes to come back to that plot line.

I deleted #6 because Valerie was the first to find out about Lashonda. |
I think that scene between Dr. M & Sean was a repeat. If not, it was very close. lol |
Reading every other week seems to help with the sheer boredom of these episodes.

The Deltas were interesting, too. Nothing exciting though. Just interesting. |
I just read the new episode and I was a TAD more impressed than with previous episodes.
|
I need to know what Stasha's results are!!!!
Krys is at the door?! Hmmm... |

And Krys @ the door: This may get ugly..... |
See, I am not going to read it until I come into this thread and read some positive reviews.

^^^ I say and do the same thing. :( However, I was a bit more entertained with this episode. Just a bit. I think it'll get truly good around the middle of Season 3.
|
^^^
Me 3. I keep doing it to myself. |
I gotta admit that I liked this episode. I felt bad for Valerie in that conversation with Lashonda, but did she really expect Lashonda to turn off her desire for AKA just like that? I honestly didn't, but now I'm hoping Lashonda tries to pursue AKA at Ahpla again just to learn it's not happening.
Plus, we need to know what happened with Stasha and her results. |
I liked this episode. It looks like progress is being made. :)
