So, I got an A on this weeks assignment for my Concept Project class and an A- on my Doc assignment. I'm Happy.:)

Psi U MC Vito 10-09-2010 12:31 AM

Congrats. So I got another A in my Poli Sci class. this time i wasn't ready at all for the test and still did well lol. Got the exact same grade actually.

TheGreenHeart 10-09-2010 06:49 PM

400-level physics test, best grade in the class (92), and not one, but two smiley faces drawn on it by the SUPER tough prof! :D

Studying like crazy DOES pay off! :)

SthrnZeta 11-04-2010 02:44 PM

I just started my Master's in higher ed and we recently turned in the first draft of our first paper (12-15 content pages) and I got a 13.8/15, or a 92%. I spoke to some other classmates who I assumed would do better than me and one of them did poorly enough that she's required to seek writing center help. Yeah, feel pretty good about it considering I spent two days on the paper, right before it was due :D

NinjaPoodle 12-03-2010 05:30 AM

A on homework assignment for my Documentary Portraiture class
OH and
A ( and I worked dammed hard for it!) on my midterm for my Location Lighting class!

NinjaPoodle 12-11-2010 02:42 AM

A on my FINAL PROJECT in my Doc class!:D

AGDee 12-11-2010 07:36 PM

I got a 99.7% for my class this term. I missed 3 points out of 1000 through the whole term, all on one assignment that he would have liked to see more detail on. Foundation courses for my Master's are complete. If I choose to stop right now, I could get a graduate certificate. I still have a 4.0 :)

sceniczip 12-14-2010 11:32 PM

I got an A in my Brit Fiction course! I swear I thought I was going to get a B+ at best. Maybe he gave me extra points for printing my final essay in blue ink :p Or for my witty answer to the ID "senioritis" (We had a bunch of IDs from the novels we read but one was "Senioritis you know who you are")

OHNOITSJESS 12-14-2010 11:53 PM

I got an A (and possibly an undergraduate research opportunity) in human factors engineering :D it was a ridiculously hard class, but i don't have to take the final and I feel like its completely worth the hard work
I'm also happy b.c i think i finally figured out what i want to do with my degree :)

Tropical_Dancer 12-15-2010 12:00 AM

I got my first grade back from this semester. An A in my CIA class, woohoo

sigmaceli 12-15-2010 11:10 PM

If I can keep it up one more semester, I will graduate with a 4.0 from my Master of Arts Program in Higher Ed. I can't believe I took Higher Ed Law, Research & Stats, an Independent Study AND T.A.-ed a class in the same semester!

But 2 days ago I had a scary moment where it said I had an F in my independent study on my records. After some crying, screaming and wailing, I contacted my professor and demanded feedback from him on my work. Turns out I hadn't registered for his section, and another professor was under the assumption that I was Grand Idiot Slacker Supreme who never showed up to his course. This kindly gentleman was kind enough to work with my professor to change my grade in his system based on my work in the course. Moral of the story - check your registration before mid-winter. :o

SthrnZeta 12-16-2010 04:52 PM

I got an A in Foundations of Higher Ed and an A in Governance in Higher Ed. So yeah, so far I have a 4.0 in grad school :D

preciousjeni 12-16-2010 06:04 PM

I'm holding down the first consistent 4.0 I've ever had in my life! Graduating in April 2011 and STILL with a perfect GPA!!

A in Fundraising and Development for Nonprofit Organizations
A in Promoting Nonprofit Organizations
A in Dynamics of Change at the Community and Social Level
A in The Ethical Leader

Up next term:

Intercultural Communication
Managing Organizational Culture
Developing the Strategic Leader
Grant and Report Writing

Then...

GRADUATION!!! Master's in Nonprofit Management, here I come!

DreamfulSpirit 12-16-2010 06:36 PM

I just finished the last two classes of what is required for my master's degree...and 4.0 GPA THE WHOLE WAY!!!

Now next semester I'm going to take a one-credit independent study course while I work on my portfolios to graduate with not only my Master's degree in Adult Education...but a Graduate Certificate in Community College Instruction!!!

TheGreenHeart 12-17-2010 06:12 PM

Just got my final grade for that really hard physics class--aced it!

Glad to see someone else on here in my program :) I'm taking higher ed law this coming quarter and sooo not looking forward to it. Glad your section miscommunication worked out!!

carnation 12-19-2010 02:17 PM

YAAAYYY! Let's hear it for my 2 college sons, who pulled a 3.4 and a 3.46, as well as their cousin who's a varsity athlete but still got 5 A's and a B!!!!!

axoalum 12-19-2010 08:45 PM

Congrats to your sons! 2 A's and 2 B's for me. Graduation from nursing school in April!!!

carnation 12-19-2010 08:55 PM

Congratulations to you on that! :)

FleurGirl 12-20-2010 10:49 AM

I haven't gotten ALL my grades back yet, but even worst-case scenario I just pulled an A-/B+ GPA despite taking two more classes than most people at my school usually do and starting my thesis. And more importantly... I PASSED ORGANIC CHEMISTRY! :D

Update: 3.62! Would've been darn close to a 4 if it weren't for organic chem, but I'm thanking my lucky stars that I passed that one!

pshsx1 12-22-2010 10:58 PM

SOOOO close to a 3.5!

Highest GPA thus far! :D

(you don't know how hard it is to break a 3.0 at my school)

SOOOO EXCITED! :D

nittanygirl 12-22-2010 11:50 PM

3.7 this semester!
Still proud of myself even though it really is not one of my best semesters academically, I was SO busy. Meetings and practices every single night + work during the day when I didn't have class (hope involvement on campus is counted when I'm looking for a job!)

NinjaPoodle 12-23-2010 06:18 AM

3 B's for final grades!

Ooooh CONGRATS! I cannot WAIT to graduate from nursing school. Next December for me God willing! In my nursing program, the first year you take one class at a time, but the first, Fundamentals, is 6 credits, and Med/Surg 1 is 7 credits. Next semester I do Med/Surg 2 and Psych, next summer Peds, and then next Fall Critical Care, Acute Care Practicum, and a trends course.
I got an A in Med/Surg 1 this semester, and so far, I keep my 4.0 nursing school GPA WOOOOO!

Wow! 4.0-congrats to you!!! I am in an ASN program so my classes are more condensed. I will follow up with an RN to BSN program (which I can mostly do online) that my school offers. It will only take 3 semesters which suits me fine. I graduated from college a Loooong time ago but was still able to use some of the coursework towards my new degree. Yay!

PEDS is pretty hard, I thought. Mostly because almost everything is different for the various age levels (B/P, HR etc) OB was my favorite and the easiest so far. I have Med/Surg and Psych this semester. My Med/Surg clinical will be on a cardiac floor (last year was oncology). My Psych rotation will be at a detox center in the mountains. Maybe I will see some of those Ga meth addicts I keep hearing on the commercials. I look forward to hearing how you are doing!

Thanks, I am in an associates program too at my local CC. I eventually DO want to be a NP, and my state university offers a RN to MSN program, so I'm leaning pretty heavily on doing that right now. My psych is going to be in the psych unit of our local hospital. We will have 2 days at a community mental health agency also. Then for med/surg the unit I am on is really just general med/surg with some renal thrown in for good measure. I have heard peds IS tough and we are doing it in 8 weeks! I found the OB subject material (we did that last summer) to be pretty easy but the tests were RIDICULOUSLY hard. I have heard that this semester coming up is the worst one out of the 4, so yeah. We'll see. And good luck to you with the meth addicts LOL!

TheGreenHeart 12-25-2010 12:02 AM

It's my first semester at my new school, and on top of pledging, working, commuting, and being a student athlete, I got a 4.0! I'm SO excited! :D Woohoo!

wrigley 12-27-2010 08:56 PM

3.7 this semester. :D

Developing the Strategic Leader: A
Grant and Report Writing: A
Managing Organizational Culture: A
Intercultural Communications: A

I have to wait until tomorrow for confirmation, but as it currently stands, I am graduating with a 4.0 GPA for the first time in my entire life.

On April 30, I will walk across a stage and receive a diploma which bears the words Master of Science in Nonprofit Management! Excuse me while I shed a tear of joy.

ha thanks! i have a GREAT VP Academics to thank for helping me out in that area :)

AGDee 10-29-2011 10:10 AM

So, I'm taking two grad classes (6 credits) this term instead of my usual "one class at a time". While I was a little harried one week, it hasn't been that bad. I've been putting out about half the effort that I put out in the past and I'm still getting A's in both classes.

The school puts out an advanced planning guide that shows which classes will be offered in the next few terms. Three classes that I need are offered in the Winter. One class that I need is offered in Spring and NO classes that I need (that I will have the pre-reqs for anyway) are being offered in Summer. I am seriously considering taking all three of the classes offered in Winter that I need. I might be crazy, but I'm afraid if I don't take them now, they won't come up again for a while and I will be stuck without classes to take. If I do get those done in Winter and Spring terms, I will just have 4 specialization courses and my capstone left. I think I'm just going to do it.

3 classes is considered full time. I work full time. I might have my kids full time. This could be interesting... But I can do anything for 10 weeks of my life, right?

FirePaint 12-18-2012 12:31 AM

I got 150/150 points on my last speech :D
