Hiii sisters! I guess I'm supposed to do an intro :)

Convention
Just out of curiosity, who on the list will be attending Convention this summer in Arizona? I have my trip all booked! Very excited about it! Anyone else?
|
I'm not going, but I'll be at our recruitment training later in the month.
You should go to our regional conference next year since your the new AC president. They have a track for training at it, and Tracy our new AMC is WONDERFUL!!! |
I just finished my "retro" recruitment thread last week, and I wanted to say hello in this forum!
Chapter: Delta School: Cornell Year: 2005 Status: Alumna (only Current Offices: none Past/collegiate offices: Sunshine Chair, Director FMR, Director MAP (can you tell I LOOOOVE recruitment?!), Membership Development Committee Alum Clubs past/Present: I plan on joining when I am settled in one area of the country (or world for that matter--I'm actually moving overseas next week!), wherever that may be! Why I chose Alpha Phi: I felt like each sister I met during recruitment really brought something to the table and contributed to the chapter in meaningful ways. I loved that everyone was comfortable genuinely being who they really are and being appreciated, valued, and loved for it! Also, if anyone's interested in the rush thread I just finished, this is the link: http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...ad.php?t=97640 |
Chapter: Theta Iota
School: James Madison University Year joined: Fall 2007 Status: collegiate member Why I chose Alpha Phi: everyone I met was absolutely amazing. So real and genuine. I did informal recruitment and fell in love with all the girls, especially the girl in charge of it all...who then became my big sister :-) |
Welcome! :)
|
Welcome jmuaphi10!

School: Graduate of University of Houston Year joined: 2008 Status: Alumna Current offices: None Alum clubs in past or present: Far North Dallas & Surrounding Counties (there's more... the name's so long that most of us don't remember exactly what it is! LOL!) Why I chose Alpha Phi: I have been thinking of how to answer this question, and I have to say that I'm not sure that I chose Alpha Phi- I believe Alpha Phi chose me, at this place and this time, and I answered the call to our wonderful sisterhood. I feel so at home with every sister I have met, even when only for a moment! |
Welcome Cougar Grad!
|
Welcome to both jmuaphi10 and CougarGrad!!!!
|
Chapter: Theta Phi
School: Christopher Newport University Year joined: Spring 2007 Status: Collegian Current offices: Former DoF and VPMR[this recruitment in January is mine, all mine!] Why I chose Alpha Phi: I knew some APhis and during recruitment I felt home!! |
Welcome aphijway! How are thangs in my stomping ground? I grew up in the Hampton Roads area
|
Really?! I love meeting women from the area! A sister from Nebraska who lives in Yorktown facebooked me and we are really good friends now!! :)
Things are good, just gearing up for formal recruitment at the end of the month! Eeek! We have retreat in two weekends for recruitment then it's timeee!! :) I'm very excited, I was the right hand man last year as DoF and now I'm in charge of it all this year!! It's going to be amazing, I will def keep everyone posted! |
aphijway, you're the current VPMR? I'll be seeing you at regional conference then! I'm a recruitment person myself, although I just got a new role that may take me out of the recruitment sessions.
|
I'm the former VPMR, but since we have deferred recruitment and when our elections fall, I run this recruitment. Our new VPMR will run next year's recruitment. It's kinda weird...I did go to regionals last year and I had a blast!!

Chapter: Delta Beta
School: Texas A&M University-Commerce Initiated: Fall 2006 Position held: Social chair =) Status: inactive :( Why I joined Alpha Phi: Man. There was no question. I found myself completely bored in the other houses through rush. I instantly realized how much I fit in with the girls. Laid back, classy, but still have an awesome time wherever they go. I was 100% correct. Alpha Phi was the best decision I have ever made. We ran the show. the end. =) Unfortunately I moved across the state fall 2007, to a university with no existing Alpha Phi Chapter, but I am soooo looking forward to moving back and rejoining my sisters! I love you ladies soo much! aoe |

|

|
Chapter:Theta Phi
School:Christopher Newport Year Joined:1996 Status:Alumnae |
Welcome! I grew up in that area (well, Virginia Beach)
|
Welcome! I know a few members from your chapter, probably from the same time too!
|
I know one member that was probably in your chapter while you were.
|
Thank you for the welcome! As glad as I am to be back in my hometown, I do miss Virginia. Springtime down there is picture perfect.
|
Chapter: Theta Phi
School: Christopher Newport University Year joined: 2009 Status: Collegiate Current offices: None yet, but I plan on running for New Member Educator this fall Why I chose Alpha Phi: Alpha Phi was the place I felt the most comfortable in, and during recruitment I always left their parties smiling and wanting to go back. Getting my Bid Card and running to them was one of the best experiences of my life! =] |
Welcome!!!
|
Chapter: Omega!
Year joined: On the '97 turn/'98. Status: Alumni (and you know how we do it) Alum clubs in past or present: Upcoming Austin Panhellenic Delegate Why I chose Alpha Phi: The T-Shirts and the cute boys, of course, and because I told a sister...well, she told me... However, my shout out goes to a Ms. Perrin, Greek Week Goddess, and Ms. Burton, without whom, I would've never survived Freshman year. Love and AOE. |
You can go on International's website to get contact info for the Austin AC. I have two chapter sisters who I think are in Austin's AC (although I am embarrassed to say I get the Texas cities confused a lot!).
|
Welcome Texas APhi girl!
|
Chapter : Iota Mu
School : Georgia Institute of Technology Year : Fall 2009 Offices held: None, yet! I definitely want to hold a position in the future! Status : Collegiate Why I joined Alpha Phi: I joined Alpha Phi this fall, as a 2nd year. Last year, I had so many friends in sororities and felt like I missed out on many things! Alpha Phi was one of the few sororities on campus that had many different types of girls and I felt like I could become really close to them. I'm absolutely loving my first semester as an Alpha Phi sister! |
