Hello and welcome to the thread. It's great to have some more SK's here. :)
|
Hi! I'm Ally, a 2005 initiate of the Zeta Pi chapter (at Colorado School of Mines). Unfortunately, I'm also a 2005 alumna because I transferred to community college (no greek there!). I'm now settled in at Colorado State University, home of the (now defunct) Beta Kappa chapter.
I miss being active, and would love to connect with you lovely Sigma K's! |
Welcome!

Hey there girls! I'm from the Theta Phi chapter in Chattanooga, TN and I just stumbled onto GC. seems to be pretty cool so far. I was initiated in January of this year, so I'm a sophomore now.
|

My name's Zea and I've actually been on here for awhile... just never had time to post/ read posts/ etc. Anyway... member of the Kappa Nu chapter at Marquette University (2006... was actually part of our chapter's colony class). Then moved to Appalachian State University for graduate school (where I turned alum with the girls of the Theta Alpha chapter). And now I'm at East Carolina University for *more* graduate school! Unfortunately, there's no Sigma Kappa chapter here, so I try to rock out my letters around campus as much as possible. haha
|
That's fun that you got to spend time in two SK chapters! Do you have people at ECU asking about our letters?

I did join the Alumnae group in Raleigh, but I'm still over an hour away from the group functions (and the closest chapter is in Raleigh at NC State). Plus, being a PhD student sucks up a lot of my time. :o |
Welcome Zea!

Hello hello. My name is Katie and I am a member of Sigma Kappa Upsilon at Oregon State University. I am a sophomore in the house, but I am a Junior in school studying Graphic Design and art history. Better to join a year later than never at all right? Im really excited for this next year because starting winter term I am co-chair for socials and we already have a lot of fun things planned.
Thanks girls! |
Hi, Sigma Sisters!
I'm a Beta Tau from the dawn of time (my SK-BT initiation number is 477, if that gives you an idea of my era), and I happened upon this forum last night while surfing. What a great place! I am so happy to have found you!
I was heartened to see the announcement of FIU's new chapter of Sigma K in the latest Triangle. Florida has been a one-chapter state for entirely too long. In my day, Omega was the Queen of the state, Beta Tau was its little sister, and FIT's chapter went away too young. Welcome to our newest chapter! Miami has needed you since Beta Delta went away! BetteDavisEyes, your signature has me intrigued. Last night I found posts from you from as long ago as 2005 with the signoff "I am enjoying the moment and the making of history. November 4th, 2008." Are you really so prescient that you knew this back in 2005? If so, what are the winning Powerball numbers? ;) I'm excited to meet y'all! Susan |
