Lakers
Let's see if the rest of this team will show up. Karl Malone and Gary Payton, you cannot ride Kobester and Shaq to a title.
And Shaq was the only one who showed up. Fact is, the Wallaces can't do s*** against the Diesel, but the rest of the team was way off its game. |

Round Two Tonight on ABC.

If the Pistons lose tonight, they have no one to blame but themselves....they had the game in hand before the last minute of regulation :p
|
they did it and they earned it. who blows that kind of lead and then just stops in the overtime.
detroit could have done somehing extraordinary, but no... |
SO CLOSE!!!
Oh well, the pistons played their hearts out except in OT, its about time the lakers got their heads out of their you know wheres:D I thought the lakers would come out on fire and whip the pistons in game two and that didn't happen so maybe Detroit can continue to make this interesting. |
On Game 2
I don't care how the Lakers get a win, there's a win. But I'm not completely satisfied. Karl's injury and GP's disappearance worry me.
It was nice to see Lucas Walton handling business, primarily through pounding the ball into bro: diesel. And I'm still sort of tripping that Ree-shahd Hamilton didn't foul Kobester on what became the game-tying shot. The talking heads, however, were wondering why Larry Brown didn't call for his guys to foul the Daddy. |

Okay,
Last night , the Pistons won 88-68 over the lakers at the Palace. Detroit play some great defense holding Shaq and Co. to 68 points, which the lowest in their team history. Lakers looked really frustrated last night. |

Although I am a little mad at the manager for putting our closer into a save situation without having had enough *game situation* appearances within the past week or so  Oh well, time for a new series, and whipping up on the D'Rays :D |
all hail the Detroit Pistons :
2003-2004 NBA FINALS WORLD CHAMPION !!!!!! |
How bout them stones!!:D

What a great game last night.....
It'll be interesting to see the changes made in the Lakers organization during this off season (who will stay, who will retire, who will go....) SO happy that the Pistons whipped the Lakers in 5 games (it should've been a sweep, though :p) |
I couldn't get on GC yesterday and all I wanted to do was post this picture!

Does anyone here think that anyone will make the immense team change needed to take on Shaq and his salary? He's got $60 million coming the next two years, and in the salary cap era I just don't see it happening. |

That's because of the Hakeem Olajuwon connection. Shaquille reveres Hakeem, who holds Rudy T. in high regard. |
