I'm an elementary school teacher...here is what I know from my school:

1 DG (me!)
1 ADPi
1 Chi-O
1 Theta Xi

That's all I know about. We are a small school (18 classrooms) so that's pretty good. There may be more, but I haven't found out about them yet.

winnieb 06-07-2006 12:05 AM

In the new job I have- there are 3 or us that I know of---
a LXA (who was a waiter in college at the chapter I advise for)
and a Beta.

sigirl 06-15-2006 02:38 PM

I work for a busy PR firm just outside of DC and there are a couple of greeks here. I dunno them too well, so I'm not sure exactly where they belong, but I've heard them talking about greek stuff before.

RG-SAM 06-27-2006 10:01 AM

I work at the JCC.

The director of the JCC and and the Federation are each Sammies. There are four Sammies working in the Fitness Department (2 full time & 2 part time) and there are at least 12 other members of the facility who are Sammies.

I also know of a Delta Gamma and Phi Sigma Sigma employed here as well!

DaisyCrazy 06-30-2006 03:19 PM

Just two Greeks here - me (AXO) and my boss (AZD). We work for an aviation company where the majority of the workforce went to technical schools where they don't have Greek life.

Scandia 06-30-2006 07:03 PM

I asked yet another co-worker who is around my age if she was in a sorority.

Another negative.

I had previously asked two people from other branches- neither of them had been.

Maybe librarianship just does not attract many people who had been in GLOs in college.

KSUViolet06 08-30-2006 12:27 AM

I went to orientation for my internship at the university communications department and I found out that one of my fellow interns is a Delta Zeta.

AGDee 08-30-2006 05:43 AM

I spotted an ASA tattoo on a gal down the hall on Friday but didn't get a chance to talk to her about it yet.

LouisaMay 08-30-2006 10:54 AM

We just got a new student worker. She's an Alpha Delta Pi.

My new boss is an SAE.

ThetaPrincess24 08-30-2006 01:34 PM

At my new job, one of my coworkers is a Delta Delta Delta and another coworker has a son that is Phi Delta Theta and a daughter that is Chi-Omega.

Funny! I have three active sorors in my alumnae chapter who are librarians, and I know of a couple of others who earned their Masters Degrees in Library Sciences.

I think I'm the only Greek at my new job, but I found two guys in the glass conference room staring at my sorority jacket. (Don't call me names for wearing my jacket at work! It's cold in that office, and that jacket works better than a sweater any day.)

Greeks at Work

I'm hoping to meet a few Greeks at my new high school--I'm an English teacher :) I'm sure I'll find a few :p

Tom Earp 08-31-2006 06:39 PM

Customers: KAT, STG. SPi, DDD, AGD.

Reps or exes:

OPsiPhi, DDD, XO.

Always great to chat with them!:D I Like Greeks!:)

ADPiZXalum 08-31-2006 09:10 PM

Haha I moved to Montreal last year and there are about 5 actual Greeks from Greece where I work! (Does that count?) :p

texas*princess 08-31-2006 09:25 PM

So technically I don't work with them, but --

My boss's daughter is an ADPi, my other boss's wife is an ADPi, and his daughter is a Delta Zeta.

A woman in my office has a daughter going to my alma mater who will be doing rush next year! She's really excited!

Right now I work with 2 Kappa Sigs (from the same chapter..awww!) and a Chi-O

dst2004 09-01-2006 06:38 PM

Yes! There are a lot of greeks in my workplace as well. My boss is my soror, and the teacher across the hall (I'm an elementary school teacher) is an AKA. There are so many greeks where I work

gphiangel624 09-01-2006 09:22 PM

I posted here a long time ago (I think), but there have been so many changes at work that I think I should post again.

We've got more employees now, and as a result, more Greeks! Here's the breakdown:

Professional Staff:
1 Gamma Phi Beta
1 Alpha Kappa Alpha
1 Phi Delta Theta
1 Alpha Epsilon Pi (hopefully 2 soon!)

Student Staff:
1 Kappa Alpha Psi
1 Delta Gamma
1 Omega Zeta Chi (local)
1 Lambda Sigma Gamma

LatinaAlumna 09-03-2006 02:41 PM

Besides myself and a Sigma Lambda Beta Fraternity, Inc. member, I don't think we have any other greeks among the professional staff. We do have student workers who are from my own sorority, some from Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority, Inc., and I believe we used to have a few Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. members as well.

tld221 09-04-2006 05:45 PM

a KD from UNC works at my firm.
have i met her? prolly not. but she looks awfully familiar. maybe we were in the same intern class.

DeltAlum 09-25-2006 04:08 PM

Just changed jobs.

Besides myself, there is at least one DG and one KKG in the sports network I work for now.

AOIIBrandi 09-25-2006 04:11 PM

My manager is an ADII. I know there are others, but I am not sure of their affiliations.

LaneSig 09-25-2006 04:17 PM

3 new teachers at my school - 1 Delta Zeta, 1 Alpha Kappa Alpha (which makes about 4 on campus), and 1 Phi Gamma Delta. During a conversation with another teacher from last year I found out she is a Delta Phi Epsilon.

#3 Tsunami 09-26-2006 08:05 AM

My Assistant Manager: 1906
My Account Manage: 1911
Myself: 1914

Nothing but NPHC love. We sit and crack jokes and converse about whose frat is better. But we all respect each others org. Those are the only greeks I know about. But I haven't worked for this company for even a year. At my previous job we were all out. NPHC and other social groups. Sexy AKA's, Gorgeous Delta's,. Unfortunately no Soror's on my part. Only D9 Frats I knew of were Us and the Kappa's

PhoenixAzul 09-26-2006 09:24 AM

My boss at my new job is an SAE. When I went into his office for my interview, his desktop was a an SAE flag-- he seemed pretty happy that I knew what it was!

jojapeach 10-02-2006 12:14 PM

I wore a March of Dimes shirt to work (because it's one of those Mondays), and one of my colleagues stopped by my desk because she's volunteered with MOD, too. I told her I did it with my sorority every year, and she informed me that she was a Delta Zeta.

I'm not the only Greek in my workplace! :D

Senusret I 10-02-2006 12:23 PM

I supervise a new member of Phi Sigma Sigma! She wore her Bid Day shirt to work. :)

.

NinjaPoodle 10-02-2006 01:39 PM

I know it's not work but... through conversation about photo projects I'm
doing and thinking of doing, I found out my photo instructor is a Sigma Delta Tau from Cornell. Cool:cool:

caz815nupike 10-08-2006 04:19 PM

Unfortunately I am the only Greek at work. That's what happens when you work in cell phone sales...lots of these people never even went to school...or are at JCs for the last 10 years....SAD

But the last time I worked with Greeks was at Best Buy two years ago. Worked with a fellow Pike in computers, as well as an SAE...and another Pike that was a computer tech.

Aaaaanyway, I hope the world after college in the REAL workplace will have more Greeks to associate with!

DSTRen13 10-08-2006 05:42 PM

At my new job, one guy is Greek that I know of - he's a DTD. He actually brought up his fraternity's values and motto to make a point at work :D

cecarter82 10-09-2006 02:20 PM

I have 4 co-workers that I know for sure are Greek.

2 members of Alpha Kappa Alpha
1 member of Delta Sigma Theta
1 member of Zeta Phi Beta

NinjaPoodle 04-30-2007 12:58 PM

I just found out my co-worker is an ADPi.

Blade118 04-30-2007 03:21 PM

The manager at my bank is a founder of Phi Sig at her school. We had an interesting conversation my first day about greek stereotypes since one of my coworkers is anti-greek life.

Awww.... Your own little Fab 4 council at the job! :p

It's cool that I met another Greek...sort of in the workplace. There's a cool Phi Beta Sigma who works in IT, but he's at another location. He saw my jacket with letters hanging on my chair, and we struck up a convo for about 10 minutes. The cool thing is that I'm really cool with one of his frat brothers that he helped bring into the organization. Talk about a small world..... :)

rufio 04-30-2007 04:01 PM

I found out my boss was DG one day when i came in to get my pay check wearing my letters

banditone 04-30-2007 04:21 PM

This new guy that sits near me at work says he was a Snake at Texas Tech.

I went to the nationals site, and did a name search at the TT chapter, and it has no mention of him.

He's really annoying, so I'm glad he's lying about it.

Ocalagirl 04-30-2007 05:04 PM

I just found out there is an ADPi. I knew she had gone to college, but it hadn't crossed my mind to ask, but we got to talking one day and I was thats awesome!! She's soo sweet:)

LegallyBrunette 04-30-2007 05:31 PM

greeks at work

I'm back in grad school now, but when I was working full time my cube neighbor was a Gamma Phi Beta and our bosses were a ZBT and an Alpha Chi Rho.
