Dang, that's messed up. What he do to piss those people off?? It's a shame that the case is falling apart, though.

Thanks for the info.

Oh wait, another question - do you know how soon after his appearance @ SU before he was killed??

I don't know when Southern's homecoming is, but he was killed the day before Thanksgiving.

Slim was a fool out there. He was no angel. He was implicated in the murder of a man found at the bottom of a lagoon in City Park. They claim that that murder and his were not connected. Some people say that P had something to do with it. The streets are talking, but everyone knows that the "real" story may never get out. It may already be out there, but who cares? (I just mean that figuratively.) You live by the sword, you die by it. That's how the game goes.

Who shaves Delano? The closeups frighten me.

~~~~~~~~~~
What is up with this show? How you gonna talk about whatever conflict that happened with Shalondrea and her mom but not show it!?!?!?!?! Then you got Delano being the mediator and talking but JY is not listening so who is Delano talking to?!?!?!!
BORING!!!!!
I agree with you CT4. He is big bubba lookin dude who needs to find a new barber!!
I agree on that point too! I was trying to figure out the first 15 minutes of the show what her and her mother were arguing about. I mean... why show that clip or the conflict in itself if you aren't going to go into detail as to what was said.
Ok, ditto on everything, last night I was like what is up with Lano's face, and then I was like did I miss something because I wasn't sure what the conflict was between prego and her mom.
CrimsonTide4 04-15-2004 01:22 PM
They did not do this show very well; they jumped from conflict and Delano being Oprah and Jabari being a true friend to BABY SHOWER!!!??!!?!? WTH?!?!? Then Shalondrea sitting up there having gaseous contractions. They wasted 10 minutes with Delanoprah philosophizing.
I need a PLOT dammit not just scenes from a sistah, a brotha, and the crew.
That quote was funny! LOL!
I thought it was nice for Jabari to help her out when she needed to call and talk to her mother especially after the way that they treated him.
Lano was kinda scary with the bumps and whatnot, but he was right about mothers and cherishing the one you have because you only get one chance.
I wanted to know what was said also between Shalondrea and her mother. I thought that they were pretty close from when she was on the show before. So whatever she (preggo) said had to be REALLY bad.
I was LMAO @ her father who (bless his heart) was trying to be helpful. He didnt know that this was possibly time for the baby to come.
She was getting those contractions outta no where. I was like WOW! Maybe this is it....make way for the new arrival!
Let me just say this now:
When they make a movie about B.I.G., they need to let Delanoprah play him. :o
Delanoprah? CTFU. CTFU. CTFU.
I would also pick Big "Uuuuuben" Studdard.
I agree....Lano looks and acts just like BIG. I thought the big poster on his wall of BIG was him at first glance. Then, I realize that it was BIG.
MeezDiscreet 04-16-2004 07:04 PM
when i was watching this ep, i was like "wth is going on with jy over there???" they spent entirely tooo long on this saga between preggo and her mother. but i thought it was so incredibly sweet for jabari to be there and hold her hand like that. he might be a weirdo but i can tell he has a good heart (but he needs JESUS and not those rocks!) i thought it was cute when she thanked him and he said "uuhhh, yea, uhh, it's uhh, it's what i do." :D
lil_sunshine 04-19-2004 04:24 PM
My thoughts......
I thought this ep was surprising to me, considering that Kinda and Shalondrea used to hate each other's guts and then Kinda was being really nice to preggo the day of the baby shower. I'm glad that 'Lano talked to preggo about her attitude and the arguement she had with her mom, and moreso b/c preggo realized she was wrong and took the necessary steps to correct the situation. Jabari and his crystals make me CTHU whenever I see them.
CrimsonTide4 04-19-2004 04:28 PM
Why do yall keep calling her PREGO like that's her first name? LOL
lil_sunshine 04-19-2004 04:44 PM
B/c she's the ONLY LONELY cast member who's preggo. I know her name's Shalondrea, but I like calling her preggo. :p
U mean it's not. I like calling her Preggo, because some of the stuff that she has pulled, she doens't deserve to be called by her real first name.
SouthrnBelle 04-20-2004 06:41 PM
Well alrighty then.......
I just saw the preview for Wednesday's episode.
Shalondrea finally delivers despite the gas from the red beans and rice.
It appears that their gonna shpw Delano's probate show for...
Re: Question
Maybe this is why he wasn't shaving and cutting his hair. Probably why he was late to the cornfield and really didn't feel like being out there.
That's the same thing that I thought, although I still fail to see how he was able to have a "process" while being on the show.
Hmmm...maybe it's just me but the cameras didn't "appear" to follow all of the cast 24/7. I'm sure there was also a lot of editing done and we must remember that this wasn't the most high-quality production. :o :)
Tracy and Babyface 'nem: You got to do better.
TheEpitome1920 04-21-2004 11:30 AM
Yeah it really looked like they hired some low budget film students to video tape it. :rolleyes: Oh well.
That's true, but I still don't see how dude could find time to crack jokes, film movies and stuff, and still pledge unless there was some very creative editing done. Presumably he would have or should have been incognegro for a few weeks during that semester. I'm surprised there wasn't a "Damn, this dude is always sleeping" or "Where the hell is Delano?" episode:D
MeezDiscreet 04-21-2004 02:21 PM
well i've been assured by one of the beta sig bruhs that delano...well, you know ;)
Dancerella1908 04-22-2004 05:45 AM
I watched the season finale, Congrats to Delano. (even though it was no surprise we on GC already knew) Their probate was emotional. The tears, the adrenaline rush,the love for your org.(It's overwhelming) It brought back alot of memories for me when my line crossed.
Did Delano's shirt have "John Que" written on it?
Yeah that is his line name. Watching that show was very emotional for me as well.
I'm sorry but why did they waste 10 minutes of air time with flashbacks. . . . I could see doing post show wrap ups and interview them, then Delanoprah's probate and Shalondrea going into labor.
Oh well, the first Black BET Reality show is a WRAP!!!
kiml122 04-22-2004 08:45 AM
I saw aboslutely nothing last night, no College Hill, and no Soul Food. I was dead in the water before 8:30. I can't wait to catch it on the rerun.
mulattogyrl 04-22-2004 09:57 AM
OK, I thought I was the only one getting emotional watching Delano last night. I was tearing up right with them. It's nice to see that love again....
DIVA1177 04-22-2004 12:55 PM
It's nice to know that I wasn't the only one. I was really surprised that they showed the whole thing(even the part of the show when the guy was begging the DP). I also thought it was cool how they each developed a relationship of some sort with each other. It will be VERY interesting to see where they go next.
Naw, I was sitting up in my house with my eyes getting all watery and whatnot, especially when that guy was on his knees begging the DP. That was some deep stuff right there. I'm really happy for Delano and his line brothers.
About how many guys were on line? There seemed to have been a lot of them.
lil_sunshine 04-22-2004 06:48 PM
I saw last night's ep......
But I didn't get a chance to hear a lot of it (saw it @ 11:30). I'll be watching it again on Saturday. The flashbacks did get on my nerves, but they did serve a purpose to show everyone how the cast grew and changed (except Kevin). 'Lano's probate show was great, though..... :cool:
I was ready to cry myself. I can't help it when I see people cry I always cry right along with u. Bad habbit that needs to stop
kiml122 04-23-2004 09:36 AM
I saw the ep, and I was very happy for Lano and his LB's. It was very emotional watching them, and very emotional when the guy was on his knees begging his DP. I am happy for all of them.
I think there were 16 of them on the line.....but um....Lano don't look good with a bald head...he he he
sphinxpoet 04-23-2004 09:49 AM
It was a nice EP! I enjoyed the ending but I thought the series as very sub par. What made the ep go was seeing the boys crossing after that the ep was not that good. But in the end it was a different kind of show.
Rollergirl2001 04-29-2004 11:08 PM
I really didn't know that this was the final epidsode last week. When I found out, I was disappointed with the ending. They didn't show the baby's face. What's with that? On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate the show a 6. Hopefully the second season will be better.
BTW, I've taped all of the epidsodes of the season.
