A link to just the prints (not the FB announcement video)
I like the AXiD print - I'm not overjoyed, but I think it's a lot better than it could have been and I really like the shape of the quills. I think the other ones are cute, though the pandas stand out a lot in the AOPi print which makes it look weird to me for some reason. I do really like the way they did the angels in the Pi Phi print. |
Ohhh! I love them all!
And now one of my younger daughters has to go Pi Phi. |
They're all adorbs.
|
They are all so similar!
Love AOPi, Phi MU and AXiD Think SK (maroon? lavender?) is cute and, though I think it's very cute, I expected more for PiPhi, darker red (wine) for instance. I like how they incorporated some of the creeds EDIT (never mind, I see the lavender as a background for SK) |

I like them all, too. Pi Phi's print is kind of old-fashioned looking & I think that is why I like it. I think SK's print is the prettiest of the 4 new ones, though.
|
Yep, I really like the SK print. I expected to see more yellow on the Alpha Xi print, but I still like it. This batch is much better than the last one, aside from the typos.
|
When I first saw the AXiD print, I liked it but was a bit disappointed with how GREEN the flowers looked...but I'm really glad I came only to look again. They look much more blue now! I think it was because I was looking on my phone? I like it, but I don't LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
I'll have it see what it looks like in person before I make a purchase. |
Apparently they're going to fix the misspelling on the Phi Mu print before anything goes to print so it'll be ok. I like almost all of the prints for this group!! I really like how they did Pi Beta Phi's print, I think it is super pretty. :)
|
The pandas look like they're eating the roses. :)
|
Om nom nom roses.
And I love Pi Phi's print. So much so that I wish that they didn't have letters on it so I could wear it. |
I think the issue I have is that although I am a big fan of colorful prints, I'm not a big fan of the sort of oversized paint brushed cabbage roses thing, and the colors seem to have a seriously mid-century bent to them which has never been my favorite fashion or decor era. But I can appreciate that these prints are all Lilly first and sorority second. They definitely coordinate with their mainstream lines. I look forward to seeing them in real life some day.
Now, couldn't we get Betsey Johnson to take her turn at this? Those I'd probably DIG. |

I like the Sigma Kappa one a lot really but that is pretty much it which is sad :(
I really don't care for the Pi Phi one, which is sad bc there are such pretty colors and symbols to work with there. I liked the AOPi one from a distance then I zoomed in, they looked scary :-/ In regards to someone's comment about the Theta one? Definitely agree. |
The Greek Letters on newest prints appear larger/less hidden than earlier prints; in AXD's case REALLY prominent letters (which may disappear when yellowgold straps/finishes are added to completed products).
Overall in the 'old' group I enjoy Delta Delta Delta's production design/colorings and Chi O's understated look. New prints, AOII and EK are very bold prints (on the order of DZ) it remains to be seen how final products look. |
I really love Sigma Kappa's print. I was worried Lilly would butcher it somehow, but I really like how they incorporated our open motto and our visual identity logo along with the violets, pearls and doves. And to anyone who says lavender and maroon don't look good together, I'd show them this print. If you use a brick red maroon, then yeah, it'll look bad, but if you use a wine/purple-toned maroon, it harmonizes quite well with lavender when you add other shades of pink and purple.
Obviously, I am biased in that I think ours is the prettiest Lilly print ever, but I like most of the others in this bunch too. Pi Phi's is very nice. I like that the Phi Mu print has enough contrast in the varying shades of pink so that you can see the detail better. (Comparing it to some of the others where you can only appreciate the detail up close.) |
They're at it again...only with STATES this time.
I already saw a huge push for SC, but really...what's the point? That's like Ralph Lauren offering school activity prints and the equestrian team requesting one. |
Wisconsin needs a SCARY COW!

I, for one, cannot wait to have an ol' Honest Abe, corn, and cardinal print. Yeah, buddy.
|
Ooh, ooh, how about a race car print for Indiana?
|
Personally, I think a cherry print for Michigan would be ADORABLE. Or a citrus, beachy one for California.

The prints are already designed as part of the "State of Mind Patchwork" pattern. http://www.lillypulitzer.com/section/Shop-Prints/9.uts

Ruby Slippers for Kansas and Wisconsin DOES have a cow (as does Iowa)! Some of these look like they were drawn by a toddler.
I already have stuff in the print similar to NC. SenI can be happy that DC got a print, too. :) |
Alabama's is ADORABLE! Camellias - the state flower - with the green leaves shaped and "stitched" as footballs!
|
Oooh, mira! Georgia has a cute peach print and I like the print of my home state Texas, and Florida's and South Carolina's too. I don't like Arkansas's print! Who wants to wear a nasty old snake?

Ohhhh that Arkansas print is the most scary Lilly print I have ever seen. I wish they would not have done that. I like the Alabama, Nevada, and Maine ones the best. And I sort of like the Oklahoma one with the little schooner in it.
|
Hawaii, on quick glance, reads like the word "Alpha" instead of "Aloha".
Wisconsin, cute cow but not quite violets for flowers. Love D.C.'s. Illinois is more than Chicago, but since it's flat I bet it's all windy. |
Vineyard Vines is now in on it:
http://www.vineyardvines.com/categor...3060_____13051 They have Pi Phi, Zeta, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Kappa, Tri-Delt, DZ, Alpha Phi, Theta, Delta Gamma, and KD. The designs are a little less flamboyant than Lilly, but VV is just more conservative across the board. If they had AXO, I'd totally get a piece. I wouldn't, however, get the tote--I bought one for my college (less than a year ago!) and now it's my "taking material samples in dirty old buildings" bag because it started fraying pretty early. |
I hope those are clouds between the angels on the Pi Phi print but they look like flying sheep on my computer.

Or, maybe they're carnations. |
