6. I have a lot of memories from the short time I've been apart of the Upsilon chapter. My Big is the best; we were matched perfectly! It feels great to be my chapter's very own unique "One-Week Alpha-Neophyte-Delta-Pi" member!!

5. Why you joined ADPi -- We only have 4 sororities on campus, and I felt the most comfortable in the ADPi suite. They were genuine and easy to talk to. The first time I talked to my diamond sis I felt like we had always been friends.
6. Favorite ADPi memory -- The Alpha class sleepovers were always so much fun! One night, some of the members from my Alpha class decided on a whim to cut each other's hair. I was so nervous b/c I have virgin hair (never touched by anyone except a beautician), but it turned out great. Because of my sisters I will always have bangs! haha

5. Why you joined ADPi -- I never wanted to join a sorority before some ADPi friends convinced me to go to an open recruiment party. Once I was there, I knew it was where I belong.
6. Favorite ADPi memory -- My first violet light was about a month after I joined. When we were all sitting around in a circle, I realized that for the first time I really felt like I was a part of group. It's a great feeling. :)

Favorite ADPi memory -- My favorite memory is a 3 way tie.....first being when my chapter won the first Presidents Cup(the highest award given to the strongest chapter on campus) at Greek awards, Also our chapter winning Golden Lion at convention for the second time in a row, and winning step show this past spring

Thanks! :D I randomly found this forum last night when I was searching for new ADPi cheers for the chapter to use at intramurals... thought I would join so I can talk to my sisters... I pledged in Fall 2005 and I have yet to see a blue lion costume, but we do have this big gigantic lion from the early '90s that's been in our office for years! It's really cute though... What chapter are you from? This year we worked with UNA, Samford, and Troy during Recruitment... it was pretty cool :)

Hello I PM'd you but I wanted to say thanks, from UNA, for your help. Yall were a great bunch of girls and I know the sisters @ UNA appreciated yall coming to help them recruit this past fall.

Our chapters both did a funky Roaring Twenties skit, I'm trying to remember the name. I don't even remember how the Blue Lion came into it, so much as we were constantly FedExing back & forth! I'll have to ask someone... Oh, I was initiated into Alpha Iota - which is why I tend to freak out a little when people abbreviate Alumnae Initiation to AI!!!!

It was no problem... we enjoyed helping yall out as much as we enjoyed your help :) It was a lot of fun, especially since it was my first year as an ADPi recruiting girls...

Lol I would imagine so if I saw my chapter letters like that... I would be like, "What year?!?!"

Is it called "ADSpy"? It's kinda roaring twenties, with mobsters and a mystery theme... we have been doing it for the past few years or so... there is no blue lion, but there is a detective, 3 mobsters, and a singer named Danielle Diamond :)

That sounds like it!! I don't know why we used that lion costume!

5) I went through Formal Recruitment earlier this year and the whole week ADPi stood out the most for me. The sisterhood just seemed so strong. I knew on Pref Night that I could really call these girls my sisters. I was so right, I love it so much!
6) My favorite memory at this point, is really just hanging around the house and goofing off with all the sisters.

6. Favorite ADPi memory: Dressing up as hicks for "Meet the Sophomores" and going from dorm to dorm acting all "country", totally not caring who saw us because we were laughing so hard!

So I have been lurking on this site for a couple of months only posting a few times so I really need to introduce myself :)

5. Why you joined ADPi - I felt instantly at home when I was in the company of these women and I just knew that I had found my sisters.
6. Favorite ADPi memory - I have to pick just one? One of my favorite "bonding moment memories" with my sisters was spray painting/egging the ATO rock after initiation and then the ATO's "catching" us which lead to a 2am paint/egg war in the middle of the quad.

4. I was Recording Secretary last year, and I started up the Intramural MVP chair this year.

5. I hated the idea of sororities when I first went to school. A friend asked me to come hang out with her and her sorority sisters at a basketball game (now I know it was a COR event) and I hastily agreed. After walking in the door of the house, I noticed I knew a lot of people there from my high school days and everyone was just so friendly--how could I say no? Looking back, it was the best decision I've ever made. :]

6. Hmm, it's a tie.. either the excitement of getting my two AMAZING diamond sisters this year, or last fall recruitment when my best friend came through. During pref night, I started crying while I was singing to her, and we laughed and cried together the whole time! It was phenomenal.
