Yeah, that is annoying. But remember that everyone in Canada got to see those episodes, so the references to the abortion make perfect sense to them. It wouldn't have been worth editing out the references to show on U.S. television. But I do think they should have shown those episodes to us in the first place.

Yeah, that is gross. I love how they are showing that you can get STD's from ANY kind of sex, not just vaginal. I think that's a common misconception among teenagers.

I've cheated and read the transcripts on a fan site. It was taking entirely too long. So, upset with Emma.

To be fair, though, they were pretty coded references. Wasn't it just something like "At least I'm not getting pregnant!" combined with a meaningful stare? Somebody who knew about the "lost episodes" would take that as Emma referring to Manny's pregnancy, but somebody who hasn't seen those would just think it meant "At least I can't get pregnant from oral sex."

On another note, I can't wait for angsty Spinner next week! He's going to pick up where my Sean left off.

It was a pretty good season opener. I can't believe Emma, its weird because she was so young and innocent when the show first started.

Can anyone fill me in on what happened on the last episodes aired in February. The last episode I saw was when Craig goes nuts at Ashley's dad's wedding, and then they find out he's bipolar. Whatever happened with Paige and the teacher???

That's true, but in some of the other episodes from the season immediately follow the abortion, they brought it up once or twice. When I was watching the marathon last weekend, it was brought up in a veiled kind of way. To those of us who haven't seen the episodes, we feel cheated. To those who don't know about the episodes, you feel like you are missing something.

I may have to download the episodes because I never watched them and I want to see them.

Did anyone notice that after Liberty told JT that she was pregnant and he ran into the busstop, the principal came out and made the comment, "Accidents will happen...."?

I'm glad that I'm not the only one still watching. Who thought the Paige trying to get in to business school episode was boring?

Can someone give me a recap of what happened with Liberty and JT? I kept falling asleep on the part where JT "breaks up" with her and walks out of the classroom. What did they decide to do? Did Liberty tell the parents?

Maybe I just don't remember, but where is Sean? Is he still with his parents? I remember when he went to find them when he was dealing with Rick's shooting. I do remember him saying that he was going to stay for a while. Is that where he is?

the drug eppy about paige was a lil bla. thats because i hate paige. i dont like how they keep messing wiht Manny. everyday something sluttier happens to her.

ashley isnt coming back to the show. i read somewhere that both her and sean left the show to go to college.

jt got liberty pregnant. liberty was all controlling about JT and JT finally had enough and wanted to break up. then he found out that she was preg. and wanted to help but liberty wouldnt let him. but she came around at the end - theyre still broken up tho.


as far as emma. manny is living with emma now after her parents threw her out cuz she didnt want to give up acting. emma got cute. ellie is so cute too.

what happend on tonights episode. i missed it.

Accidents Will Happen will be shown this weekend starting tonight at 10 eastern, 11 eastern Saturday, and 10 eastern on Sunday.

For those of you that don't know, AWH was censored on The N becasue of the issue of abortion.

It's about time that they show that episode. When I first heard about the censorship of AWH, I was going to boycott The N, but I realize that it won't do any good. What, it's been like 3 years since that episode aired in Canada and we Americans have to wait 3 more years to see this friggin episode?

The next time The N does that, I will boycott and hopefully it will do some good.

After seeing AWH, I don't see the big deal :confused: Really, the episode was not all that risque to be BANNED! I know this episode was released long before Degrassi really started going there, but there was no need to keep it under wraps for so long. There are lesbians, gays, Manny is ho, Emma is getting STDs, Rick beat his girlfriend and later shot up the school before committing suicide, Ellie cuts... yet, they wouldn't talk about Manny getting an abortion? This is a VERY REAL part of teenage life and there is no use in hiding it, lying about it, or denying it.

Anyway, whatever happened to Terry?

Ashley's look is nice for the upcoming season. I am happy to see her and Jimmy may be getting back together. I hope they develop Emma's character a little bit more. She has been kinda crazy for a while. I hope they ease up on Manny's character because how much more whorish can she get? They should make her tone down some.

I know this is completely horrible of me, but after seeing the clips again in the commercials, I still laugh at the shot of when Rick pushed Terri and she feel backwards and her legs went flying in the air. I Know I shouldn't, but I find it hilarious.

Agreed. It was more dramatic the first time Degrassi did the abortion storyline (was it Erica or Heather, I can't remember?)

It's somewhat funny to me because you can TOTALLY tell that is a stunt double!

That was the original plan, but when they put together the reunion which was the 10-year high school reunion, they realized that Emma was the same age as the original cast when it first began airing, so they created the new show. That is why the first episode actually is that 10-year reunion.

I'm so excited that Sean will be back next season and I know sugar and spice is with me on that!

i love old school and new school degrassi. i'm buying up all the original degrassi jr. high / degrassi high dvds as they come out... did you guys know all 3 series have discussion guides? if i ever end up as a school librarian i am going to use these in my media collection.

Great first episode! It was crazy seeing the opening credits without the words to the song and everything too. Degrassi's growing up. :P

I like Sean well enough, but Peter grates my last nerve. I think I might like the Ellie storyline. I mean, who hasn't either known or roomed with an Amberley? Little things make me giggle.

Enough with the Degrassi 90210 opening credits though.
