One of my chapter brothers' high school friends is in this new member class!

George Mason results as I receive them on Monday!

DubaiSis 09-11-2010 04:23 AM

I believe Alpha Xi Delta at Jacksonville State took 17, unless their website is listing last year's new member class!

momof4girls 09-11-2010 03:07 PM

Texas A&M Commerce's chapter of Gamma Phi Beta has 9 new members.

APhi4Ever 09-11-2010 04:27 PM

Texas A&M-Commerce quota was 5, Alpha Phi took 7.

kelcaopi 09-11-2010 07:13 PM

Rhodes College ;)

AOII: 47
Chi O: 46
KD: 44
DDD: 44

As OleMissGlitter said, quota was 44. Those are great numbers for Rhodes! For the past several years quota has been in the low to mid-30s.

Benzgirl 09-11-2010 08:25 PM

Marietta College
Sigma Kappa 16
Chi Omega 20
Alpha Xi Delta 17

AZ-AlphaXi 09-11-2010 09:32 PM

Delta Gamma Chapter at University of Texas -Tyler has 16 new members.

BetaIotaDZ 09-12-2010 03:58 PM

Illinois State University - Q: 26 ~ DZ: 36

University of Maine - Q: 11 ~ DZ: 13

University of Missouri/St Louis - Q: 12 ~ DZ: 14

East Carolina University/North Carolina - Q: 23 ~ DZ: 26

Youngstown State University/Ohio - Q: 9 ~ DZ: 9 ~ Campus Total: 40

Tarleton State University/Texas - Q: (?) ~ DZ: 56

UTexas Pan American - Q: 15 ~ DZ: 15 new members
The Sorority community at University of Texas Pan American is comprised of 6 chapters including two current NPC groups and one interest NPC group. Alpha Sigma Tau is the other Panhellenic group. I’m not sure if 15 was set s quota by the NPC groups or by the University.

West Texas A&M - Q: 23 (?) ~ DZ: 23 Again, I am not positive that 23 is an accurate number for quota. I know it is not more than 23, leave it out if you have other information from Texas A&M.

UTexas Arlington - Q: n/a ~ DZ: 13 UTexas Arlington has deferred formal recruitment in January. In the fall chapters may recruit upper class students to fill openings from spring graduation. This is a great way to allow upper class women their own recruitment time. DZ welcomed 13 new members @ UT Arlington. The Greek Life program on campus has lots of all-group socials, leadership and risk management programs. Every Wednesday is Greek letter day – Greeks wear their letters on campus.

Benzgirl 09-12-2010 04:08 PM

Phi Mu at Mizzou took 78.

ADPi at Bucknell took 77

I was just about to ask about ZTA and then looked at the listing and saw that they are closed as of 2009. That's a shame. LSU-S is small, but 14 women in a Greek system?! I didn't think it was that small. I lived next door to campus for 6 yrs.

Benzgirl 09-12-2010 10:23 PM

I just found out that my cousin's DD pledged Kappa Kappa Gamma at University of Texas. Now I have two cousins whose daughters are Kappa.

That's a big jump for SEMO. Their quotas for the past several years have been low to mid-20s.

SthrnZeta 09-13-2010 09:58 AM

Quota at Stetson in FL was 19 and ZTA made quota! Not sure about the other groups though - I was there when we all wrote out the bid cards but I shouldn't speculate on here based on that.

FSUZeta 09-13-2010 12:28 PM

Quota was either 14 or 15. I've heard conflicting numbers for my chapter (DZ) ranging from 8-13. I've not heard results from any other chapters.

U of Montevallo (AL)

Excerpt from local news report is below..

Please note that one sentence says 80 women were "placed," while the next sentence says each of the five chapters got 14 new members.

My concern is that 5x14 doesn't equal 80.
Or am I doing multiplication wrong?
Big smile and slight frown.

MONTEVALLO — Several University of Montevallo students anxiously awaited the arrival of bid day Sept. 13 to find out which sorority they matched with during formal Panhellenic recruitment 2010.

Eighty women were placed in sororities to conclude the recruitment process, which began Sept. 9.

Each of the five chapters on campus received 14 new members this year, said Jenny Bell, the university’s coordinator of student life programs.

The sororities include Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Chi Omega, Delta Gamma and Phi Mu. . . .

Benzgirl 09-13-2010 06:12 PM

Youngstown State
Alpha Xi Delta took 9 new members
Zeta Tau Alpha took 10 new members

I am hearing that quota at Illinois was 45 this year (and I'm sure irishpipes will be able to confirm or deny this! :))

Also, Alpha Xi Delta at U of I has 54 new members! And according to a chapter sister we are at total (for the first time in our 2 year existence!)

Most likely yes.

Unless the 14 (which was quota last year per irishpipes' list) should be 16.

Someone must know; in the meantime, "is a puzzlement," as Oscar Hammerstein II wrote.

I believe quota was 14. AGD reported 19, so everyone taking at least 14 seems more accurate.

SthrnZeta 09-14-2010 09:00 AM

I've heard, and Gusteau can correct me since this info is from him, that quota at George Mason in VA was 40 and ZTA brought home 47 new Zetas!!! I was also told that all chapters there made quota but ZTA hadn't made quota in 11 years so this is MAJOR! I also heard that they extended 47 bids via an alumna up there so this comes from two sources :) SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED FOR THEM!!!

That's really wonderful news! They must have worked really hard, and the results are the proof. I hope they enjoy all their new ZTA NMs.
