What this movie should have been called:

As the Potter Turns

Real Word: Hogwarts

Harry Potter and the Raging Hormone

Potter of Love

Sex and the Sorceror

They already did the bolded on The Soup this past week.

How many more of these things are left? (Not a HP reader, haven't the slightest interest, just want to know when it's all going to be over)

Someone explain this to me. I don't read the books. why would you name the movie after the book and make it such a plot point and then not explain it? they totally wasted that actors time (and he's such a good actor)!

one thing i did love was helena bonham carter, they kept making excuses to show her (yay!) but gave her nothing much to do (boo!).

Wow....and I don't watch The Soup....LOL!

2 more movies (they split the last book into two movies)

And if that isn't enough...this movie is slated to be the "next big fantasy series"

Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Somehow I remember someone saying this about The Magic Compass

I won't even go through my whole schpiel about how much I loved the movie even though I was totally distracted by how many things were left out--too tired, I'll do it later, but I can answer this question right quick. (I think you literally did want to know? If not, well then I'm explaining it for the other people who didn't read the books. ;))

"Half-Blood Prince" is the nickname Snape gave to himself while in school. His mother, Eileen Prince was a witch and his father was a Muggle (no magical blood). As far as wizarding genes goes, he's only a half-blood, thanks to the Prince side of the family.

But I did wonder (and I may have said this before, I'm sleepy, I can't remember)...who noticed that Lavender was a black girl three movies ago? I caught the change immediately (and confirmed it through Wiki), but I'm not sure if anyone else was looking that closely.

YEP. I caught that too.

She was such a minor character few would have noticed or cared.

Only the HP geeks like you and I, CG, would catch that.

*still mad at DS and he knows WHY* *makes evil face at him*

Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle.

The movie ended too abruptly for me. People in the theater were like "is there more"??? LOL! It seemed an odd way to end. This was my least favorite thus far.

nikki1920 07-20-2009 05:06 PM

EXACTLY!! It felt like they cut the last 15 minutes or something! And how freaking tall IS Dean Thomas?! lol

I forgot that part! My nieces, nephew, and I arrived so early that the credits were still rolling at the end. There were about 20 people still in their seats just waiting through the credits as if this was an Eddie Murphy movie with bloopers and outtakes at the end. When we finished the movie, the four of us in my party were still in our seats waiting because there just had to be more than that.

That's news to me about Lavendar, too.

Lastly, the book is always better, but this was just too much off the mark. I know the book and characters have evolved, and the story is about more than discovering magic and witchcraft. But the magic wasn't there for me. Even my nieces fell asleep.

I think both parts of The Deathly Hallows will be utterly amazing. They have to be.
