so you exclusively wear VS? do you think your desire to wear bras is strictly a subconscious reaction to their marketing? i mean, if something is advertised enough, you will want it, or something to do with it, by the time its all said and done. VS is VERY popular on selling an otherwise fuctional product and making it "cool" (which is how big business essentially makes profit... otherwise, Apple would still be in the crapper it it wasnt for iPod)

anyway, i think you wearing bras is merely a (strong) reaction to effective advertising. i mean sure you werent the target audience, but maybe the agency they use is just that damn good.

Well, my mindset that is if I am going to go out of my way to wear bras, I might as well wear the best ones, you know? I know that VS being the best is an opinion, but the way they are marketed and such with taglines like "Best bra in the world", "World's most glamorous bras", "Heavenly fit" makes it seem as if they are the leading brand name when it comes to bras. Therefore, in my mind, VS is the best. I know not everyone shares that opinion. The thought of wearing bras from lesser brand names doesn't appeal to me at all. I'd rather not wear one at all. And after 18 months of wearing VS, I can say that their bras live up to the hype and marketing dollars, at least for me :)

ETA: For those who think I'm cc, think...do I even APPEAR to be a girl who has a lot of knowledge about bras??? I'm too much of a tomboy to give a damn. My idea of bra shopping is going to Target and scanning for the bra I think would fit me best.

well therein lies the difference in the purpose you wear bras and the female GC population (and other male GC closeted bra-wearers alike). you wear them cause you like it, its fun, yadda yadda yadda. we (and thats the collective "we" mentioned above) wear them cause we kinda have to. VS's marketing in bras being "the best" and coming up with lines like the "very sexy" collection is just a way to blindsight the consumer. we know that deep down, wearing bras sucks serious non-gendered balls and the only way it makes us feel a little better about it is to put some bows and lace on it.

i bet youre one of those people who just show up for the party, ready to drink all the booze and leave happy and piss-ass drunk. you dont ever come to set up the party nor do you stay til the morning after to clean up.

I think he's real. I can usually tell the fakers. They either do it to cause an argument, forgot their password, or they just want something different.

it's not a question of him being comfortable with it, it's a question of how people would react. chances are there would be many people in his life that would react just like you have - calling it unnatural, weird, perverted, etc. it's also not always a safe thing to do because you never know how people are going to react. maybe it's just the product of being at my university for three years and being exposed to issues like this continuously, but i don't think there's anything wrong with it - i mean yeah, you sound like you may have some gender identity questions you haven't really explored (and i want to stress that i mean strictly gender identity, not sexuality), and i personally would be a bit weirded out if it were my guy fessing up to this, but to each their own.

you're not harming anyone, it makes you feel good, so what's the problem? enjoy it :)

i think he's a genuine poster as well - the tone and responses of his posts fit with someone who really does do this on a daily basis. you'd have to be pretty knowledgable about this kind of lifestyle choice to be faking it.

Actually, believe it or not but I don't drink or do drugs. It's not me.. I just don't like doing it. I'll go to parties but I will just have soda or water. I see all the people getting plastered at parties and how immature they are being... thats not me. Besides, it is my goal in life to become a professional baseball player, and alcohol/drugs would just be a distraction and death trap for me. Therefore, I am holding off alcohol until I accomplish things I want to accomplish in my life. But this is a bra thread, so hopefully it doesn't turn into a alcohol/smoking/drugs ethics thread :)

i feel really uncomfortable and weird wearing bras around my family, so i usually dont when i am around my family. but i am completely fine wearing them around everyone else.
