Is saying you are the first of something a diss to the others? I think not.

No more than asking why would someone want to join the other three orgs over SGR (the implied message).

The use of the colors of the other orgs were done respectfully in that for each org, the correct colors were used. And I might add, the orgs were listed in the order of each being founded.

Neither did the shirt involve the misuse of the other org's symbols. They were printed on the back of the shirt as it would be if the shirt was a greek unity / pan-hel shirt.

The diss in the shirt is because of the statement at the bottom which implies why join the other groups when you have another choice. If you don't want people to realize that there is another choice other than your org, then yeah, you may feel dissed.

The siggy can imply that the other three org's existance came from AKA. Which, yes, it may not be a diss, but as for me and my org, I feel that the implication is incorrect because SGR was not born out of AKA. DST was. So for me, AKA is not the 'genesis' of SGR. I could feel dissed by the siggy, but I don't. I know what the siggy is saying - AKA was the first historically and the others followed. I get that.

You all are reading the shirt as a diss, which it kinda is. I could interpret the siggy as a diss because to me it is impling something that is not entirely true from my standpoint.

All my comparison was about was that different people can read different things from the same message.

Just like the situation with the other photograph in this thread, the shirt has been brought to the attention of the proper authorities. I know they have dealt with it. We all have people in ALL of our orgs who fall short at one time or another when it comes to representing what we stand for. Let's keep that in mind.

CAN'T WE JUST ALL GET ALONG?!! :D

The bottom line is that we have all made our choices and hopefully made that choice out of true desire to work hard and represent our organization in the most respectful manner. Me personally I just think that it is a waste of time to spend attempting to 'dis' another organization, because in reality you are being disrespectful to your own.

OOPS. Typing too fast made a boo boo in my last sentence. I think it is a waste of time attempting to 'dis' another organization, because in reality you are being disrespectful to your own.:)

That has already been established. That's why I was wondering why some of the SGRhos came in here with their capes on as if it was just about THEM. :)

Neither do I DSTCHAOS. When I first came in this thread all I said was that yes, the shirt is not the most pan-hellinic shirt. I think I've been supporting this statement throughout this thread various ways. People still want to 'jump' on the young lady because of the shirt, fine. All I made was one statement (Page 3 of this thread), its others who want to keep it going. The only reason I've kept it going was becasue people keep addressing my statements and I don't mind responding to them.

And how are you reading this as being a set up? For what?
