My Top 3 are

Michael
Kayne
Uli.

As much as I like Uli, I wish she would do something different. You can always tell what she is going to do because she always does the same design on all her outfits. She needs to spice it up!!

Doesn't Laura look "big" for only being 3 months pregnant? I thought that was kinda wierd...but then again I've never been pregnant, so I wouldn't know all that much.

The more times you've been pregnant, the faster your belly pops out is what I've been told. Of course, the only time I was, I got a belly 3 days after I found out, so who knows.

Agreed about Kayne...I loved his gold dress.

Another episode, another post...

So, everyone week one of my sisters comes over and we watch PR together. Last night, just before the episode started, she said to me, "Hey, you know what's great about tonight's episode? No Vincent or Angela!"

Well, 5 minutes later, we were very disappointed. I agree with Laura that Angela's win would not have happened without her teammates. And Vincent's win was a fluke (remember than fugly dress he made for Uli's mom? ) But I was comforted by the fact that at least one of them would be out.

I'm happy that Laura finally won a challenge, however I think Michael was robbed on this one. Laura's dress (despite her model's efforts) was rather matronly. Michael's, on the other hand, was gorgeous!

Uli's really disappointed me (what was up with those sleeves? And the necklace?).

Naturally, Vincent and Angela created totally tacky, aweful dresses and were rightly eliminated (again).

That left Kayne and Jeffery. I've been a Kayne fan from the beginning. I know he can be a little out there sometimes, but I just think he's fabulous. His dress last night was I big change for him, and really showed that he was listening to the judges. Jeffery, however, created another "rocker" outfit that was simply appalling. Those leggings were a crime!

But, much to my dismay, Kayne was out. Damn you, Nina Garcia!!

My top three:
Michael
Laura
Uli

I totally agree...I never really "got" the concept of couture until I watched an episode of America's Top Model during their first season when Tyra explained to the girls exactly what it was, why it was different, and why it was so expensive.

I think the reason real, true, French Couture doesn't go over well here in the states is because it IS out there..but if I were French and lived in France, and you grew up seeing the super-wealthy dress like that for functions, I might feel different. Otherwise, it looks more like a costume.

I'm a huge Valentino fan....that show he did on Oprah awhile back...every single dress took my breath away...talent doesn't even begin to describe him.

Hey, is Uli the older lady with the short red hair? I don't get Bravo where I live, and I was pissed!

No, that's Laura. Uli is the German woman in her 30s.

SapphireSphinx9 09-14-2006 04:19 PM

the "surprise guests" element was a complete shock to me!! i was so glad to not have to listen to vincent blabble on about how good he is... and now i'm so glad he's gone again!!

i was sad to see kayne go - but i think jeffery's more talented.

what was up with uli's dress?? hello, listen to the judges and move away from the beach theme already!

I don't know if this is a "spoiler" or what, but Heidi Klum was on The View this morning and they were talking about the final episode.

Rosie asked her about who she thinks would either be in the top 3 or win (which they all--except Heidi said that their favorite was Michael) and Heidi said you never know, there might not be only 3 people that get chosen. This is a hard year, everyone is so competitive and so talented that its difficult. You'll just have to wait and see. So I guess that might mean that there is a possibility that there might be 4 people in the final runway show. Hmm who knows.

She also said something about not giving them a challenge and that they could just go home and create anything they want...but I'm not sure if she was talking about Olympic fashion week, or something else. I guess we'll see.

4 people always show at the runway show since it takes places before they are down to the final three during airing. 1 person is always a decoy. The show actually is tomorrow at 9am, so pictures will start appearing online around 10am or so if anyone wants to try to figure out who the decoy is. Last season is was pretty easy to figure out that Kara was the decoy.

I really thought the Judges would kick Uli last night instead of Kayne. Uli has been making the same dresses since week 3 and at least Kayne tried to listen to the judges this week. Remember the couture dress Uli made last week? It was silvery-blue with braiding. It was nearly identical to a silvery-blue braided dress she made earlier in the competition. BORING!

I did like Laura's dress, and the fact that she designed for someone other than herself...I think that's why the judges gave her the win. Michael's dress was amazing, too. Jeffrey's was hideous!

ADqtPiMel 09-14-2006 08:36 PM

Thanks to Jeffrey, hooker milkmaids now have something to wear to cocktail parties. Also, Uli's dress looked like it was shackling the poor model's arms down to her sides. Vincent's looked like a Spanx body shaper.

I would buy Laura's dress in a heartbeat - her design aesthetic is very similar to my personal style. I think Michael is the most consistent, and the best at creating an overall "look."

Bummed that Kayne went home. While I'm glad that Laura finally did something out of her element, I was hoping that she'd get the boot. I can't stand her dresses AT ALL.

They should just go ahead and give Michael his trophy already.

Me too!!! I'm so bummed, I adored Kayne.

I really thought Jeffrey should have been the one to go.

I'm sorry between Kayne and Jeffrey's cocktail dresses, there would be NO WAY IN HELL, I would wear Jeffrey's. It looked like something wretched from the 80's. Ehhh.

Sister Havana 09-14-2006 10:55 PM

I actually thought Kayne's dress was cute and I was bummed when he was booted. I thought Jeffrey should have gone. His outfit was hideous. I liked Laura's dress (LOVED the fabric) and Michael's the best.
