Wicked sold out here in Charlotte in 6 hours.
I bought season tickets for the very top of the back balcony, then upgraded just the Wicked ones to make sure I got a good seat. The season tickets WITH upgrades for Wicked are about half the price of the tickets I'm seeing now on ebay and through 3rd party "vendors". You might think about going that route. |
I'm watching like a hawk for the date that they start selling Atlanta tickets!
My 13-year-old's voice teacher has her singing a song from Wicked for the spring recital: "I'm Not that Girl", I think? |

Good song. I mentioned in the Broadway thread that a local, Denver area woman, with whom a couple of our kids have performed, is now playing Glinda in New York. |
I finally, finally saw Wicked tonight! Years after I started this thread, at the Fabulous Fox!!:D I feel like I've just been through a wonderful Greek initiation, you know how you have tons of questions afterwards? I looooved the ending, what a surprise!

Congratulations! lol

Hahahaha if you have questions, here's the perfect place to ask! :p Welcome to Wickedome!! I got an offer to see it in LA but I already have plans to see it in Sacracmento this spring. This will make time number....*thinks*.....4? 5? LOL I've lost count. :o

Okay! SPOILERS BELOW:
At the end when Elphaba came back--the head of the guy in front of me was blocking my view but it seemed like Fiyero came sliding in to the floor and was going through the spell book and all of a sudden, there was Elphaba. Was she coming back up out of the floor in a reverse of the Wizard of Oz? Did they say that the Wizard was her father? Did the goat-professor ever come back into the play after we saw him as a winged monkey? I had so many last night but it was so late; when I get my head together, I'll remember more. |

And it was initially the wizard's monkey Chistery that Elphaba gave wings. |
Correct. :) I seriously considered buying a tank of sea monkeys and naming them "The Chistery." It's still on the table.

Loved Wicked. I've seen it twice and would love to see it again. Theta alumna Teal Wickes was awesome as Elphaba
|
A bunch of actresses who have been in the show are doing a "Women of Wicked" show at my alma mater next month. I'm so excited :) I've been Wicked obsessed for years and collect Elphaba autographs.
|
I have to say I liked the musical much better than the book. In the book I found Elphaba to be a bit too self pitying ("It's not my fault, everything sux because I'm green.") I wanted to tell her to get over herself.
