It seems that no one gets to live "happily ever after" on ER - unless they're written out of the show, like Doug & Carol and all the rest.

And I want the old theme song back! This new one is nasty!

OMG this episode is sooooo good!

Jeannie Boulet!

I totally agree. Once again, this season, another strong ER episode. How I wish the writer's strike would end. I refuse to believe that once ER finally got good again, it may be all over. Rumor is that this is the last season. :(

^^^I love Jeannie!!!!!!

ETA: Really?? They're saying now it won't be back next season AT ALL!?!?!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

Just when Jeanie Boulet came back, leaving the open for ????? Last night's show was one of the best in the past couple years.

Senusret I 01-04-2008 12:25 PM

I didn't assume she'd be back to stay, though. Maybe a future guest spot. But the fact that only Chuny and Haleh knew who she was (not even Frank?) sorta underscored the fact that she's from a different era.

spoilers if you haven't seen the episode:

I was sad when she said her ex-husband Al died so tragically. I mean, we knew he was also HIV positive, but to be 78 pounds and not even recognize people on our death bed is just horrific.

End spoiler.

I couldn't tell -- was her husband on last night's show the same actor that played him previously?

ZTABullwinkle 01-04-2008 12:27 PM

Yes that was the same actor that played Reggie.

Senusret I 01-04-2008 12:28 PM

Thanks! I had forgotten that she broke up with the fair-skinned man she had been dating. I think he was a better fit for her.

nittanyalum 01-18-2008 12:13 AM

I don't know how they still have new shows, but I'm so glad they do!!

The hockey stuff tonight was too funny. And how did they manage to make Lucien "sexy" all of a sudden?

I think Tony and Sam will be cute together.

I liked the episode okay..... not sure what's going on with Pratt's love life though.

Yeah - that came somewhat out of the blue to me.

I never thought that Lucien was bad - until he propositioned Abby a couple years ago. But I guess under the circumstances...?

For its final season, `ER' will have Angela Bassett in cast

Thanks for the heads up!

I'm just upset by the last line: "Wells is hoping to lure many of the "ER" cast's alumni back for appearances for the show's 15th and final season."

Why upset? I miss the old guys!!! I honestly have lost intresnt in the new shows and really only watch the reruns on TNT when I am bored, or sick in bed, or want to watch some good drama! One of those reasons is enough! :)

I want to see Carter at least one more time!

That upsets me too. :( But I'm glad there will at least be one more season, I've been fearing every season was going to be its last. 15's a pretty impressive number and I'm always amazed at how they keep managing to keep coming up with good shows. I hope some of the originals come back too!
