Just watched on my local news that Angel Stadium is increasing security a lot especially by the third base side b/c that umpire Doug Eddings will be officiating tonight.

A guy who once talked shit from behind the plate to the guys who were in the car Mike Darr flipped (he died in the crash) . . . a guy who openly talks shit to guys about things like stillborn children, rumors of wives cheating with teammates, things like that.

Just saying, is all.

He even has to have personal security escort him from his hotel to the stadium b/c of the danger the fans are to his safety. They keep talking about it on the local news.

It definitely changes directions - however, it seems pretty obvious that it hits the end of the glove (and not the ground) and changes direction before settling in the pocket of the mitt.

It was a bad call, but nothing that was absurd - it was just a mistake, we don't get the benefit of instant replay on the field.
