Will you update us on her recruitment? :)

UK's rush starts today. Best of luck to all involved!

GO CATS!

I'm trying to be patient too but I'm not succeeding! I haven't called Tiger's mom bc I know what she's going through. The nurse at school is heartbroken bc her favorite little AU rushee was cut from her sorority and several others. This girl was everything at a high school in the next county.

I can't wait until the bid lists are published! May everyone find a great home!

One thing that has always struck me as odd is the vastly different approaches the college Panhel associations at Auburn and UGA for example have towards recruitment and "publicizing" it -- e.g Auburn posts pictures of pratically their entire recruitment process and has the list of new pledges posted promptly after rush ends, whereas UGA has virtually nothing other than a brief snippet about each house there and makes it seem like numbers of girls rushing and quota and who makes it and who doesn't etc and who pledges where is a freakin' national security secret...I have never understood that
  :(

As a UGA alum, I lust after the Auburn Panhel website.

The Auburn website rocks! I was just looking at it again! LOVE IT! I see a few girls sporting Vera Bradley Bags :D

I was just looking at the pictures from the philanthropy round at Auburn and I was very suprised to see girls in jeans and denim skirts that have holes in them. After wearing nice sun dresses to the ice water teas it seems odd to wear something that is meant to look torn up, even if it is in fashion...just my opinion.

Another update!

I finally found Tiger's mom and she's going to prefs today at Phi Mu, ZTA, and Delta Zeta! And she loves all 3 so she'll be happy wherever she goes!

My 5 UGA gals (F, L, B, P, and W) are all having a lovely time with recruitment. They visited 11 houses today and P e-mailed me to let me know that it's been a whirlwind, but they're excited about tomorrow!

Even though there are 18 NPC sororities at UGA, two (SDT and DPhiE) do not get involved with this particular recruitment. DPhiE used to but opted out starting this year, according to a DPhiE member in our local Alum Panhel association.

SDT does participate in formal recruitment but it is true that we are opting out this year. Just wanted to clear that up. :)

So, no SDT, either?

Quota at Auburn is 59; bids are distributed at 3pm (CST).....

leesek 08-14-2005 03:23 PM

PhiMuLady150 08-14-2005 03:56 PM

I'm dying for Auburn results.!!!!! I wish that BR had scheduled me to work today so I had somewhat of a distraction but alas no:(
