I feel like this would be a good time to ask

How is the spell check function used? Since I use the .coms to edit myself I never got around to finding out how to use the spell check feature. I think that I now need to know so that I can pass this information on to other people who may not know how to use the feature. I really want to know, but dont want to take the time to figure it out myself. (I know that's lazy)

As a member of Alpha Angels Inc, I can say that people dont understand the meaning of becoming a part of these organizations. Dont get me wrong, each chapter does their own thing and to each its own, but my chapter is not about being nobody's groupie or anything even like that.

On my yard, the scouting process is the same as it is for a sorority or fraternity with the exception that the boys going on request which girls they recommend. You have to qualify as a woman worthy to be apart of something so sacred, which cancels out those "groupies." A brother/sisterly bond is built between us because we are each others' support system as we go thru this process together.

We dont claim to be greek and we respect those who are (those who EARNED their letters) We are Incorporated on our own and dont consider ourselves to have affiliation with the Fraternity because although they are why we exist, we are woman first, with beliefs of our and can exist without have any man to lean on. So although we thank the Fraternity for having a hand in our existance as Alpha Angels, if the Fraternity was to become extinct, (NEVER, LoL), Alpha Angels will still have a job to do supporting womanly deed, love for all mankind, and scholarship.

*scratchin' my head* What? Is he saying he is going to depend on the "Alpha Angels" to "hold up Alpha" if they ever cease to exist? I need that scared as hayle smiley to insert right here...

TruGRITS 07-23-2008 11:06 PM

I think the person was just saying if Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc ceased to exist (not that it ever would...), the Alpha Angels, Inc. would still be in existence, be able to continue doing everything it does now, and uphold its ideals. That was my interpretation...

You're in a sweetheart org, who are you to think you know anything about respect and earning letters? Like your respect means something. LOL.

Greeks: I don't care that these auxilliaries are their own orgs now, keep them in their places.

That is an Alpha Angel.

GRITS' interpretation is correct.

DSTChaos, thanks for the clarification. I'm still tripping that auxillary organizations are still relevant! LOL

they're not.

I would be somewhat "interested" to read about any service efforts that sweetheart orgs (not the Iota Sweethearts---I know they are extremely relevant and active) have done at the undergrad and alumnae level.

I've never heard of anything so I'm cyber-curious.
