I can't WAIT for the Hip Hop Honors.

He's still in the area. I saw him int he mall one day at Applebee's. I had to do a double take, like is the Special Ed... oh snap it is. He must have read my mind and gave me a smile and nod.... I wanted to get him to sign something, anything, but he was already eating his meal with a lady friend, and I HATE PEOPLE LIKE THAT....

Gotta luv Queens, you'll always run into someone..... Jamaica Ave, Hollis, Green Acres, the Movie Theatre, etc..... :D

I'm glad VH1 aired all of those videos. I was able to find more songs for my Mp3. Many of these artists I had forgotten about. :o

They also played vidoes I hadn't seen in YEARS - Lakim Shabazz, The Cookie Crew  , Nefertiti, X-Clan, Redhead Kingpin  again, King Sun  yet again...the list goes on and on.

I'm home sick today and they're still playing old school hip hop videos. :D

No wasn't that Stestasonic (sp)... I could be wrong. I remember seeing them live at Roy Wilkins Park... The good old days when people would perform for free for the community without something jumping off. I was able to see Heavy D, Vesta, Troop and Levert that year. When are they going to honor Heavy D? They are not going in order at all....

oochie Coochie la la la.... I just had to do it. Special Shout Out to Soror Cynthia Horner.... I lived by Right On and Word Up....... Man you couldn't see my wall on either side. My brother got so slick that instead of tapping to the wall, if they had photos on both sides he liked, he tapped a damn paperclip and flipped them back and forth....

No, the Cookie Crew were two sisters from the UK. The video I saw was 'Born This Way'. JJ Fad did 'Supersonic'. ;)

Stetsasonic was one of the first rap groups to have a live band. They're best known for the song 'Sally'. They're from Brooklyn.

Bum stiggedy bum stiggedy bum, hon, I got the old pa-rum-pum-pum-pum
But I can fe-fi-fo-fum, diddly-bum, here I come
So Peter Piper, I'm hyper than Pinochio's nose
I'm the supercalafragilistic tic-tac pro
I gave my oopsy, daisy, now you've got the crazy
Crazy with the books, Googley-goo where's the gravy
So one two, unbuckle my, um shoe
Yabba Doo, hippity-hoo, crack a brew
So trick or treat, smell my feet, yup I drippedy-dropped a hit
So books get on your mark and spark that old censorship
Drats and double drats, I smiggedy-smacked some whiz kids....

You mean that one? We had a contest to see who could figure it out the closest and the fastest in school...I came in 3rd. :D

Now that's a group that needs to be honored! I loved Stetsasonic.
