At Bama, the only popular "butt shorts" are the ones that say "BAMA" on the butt. A lot of girls have those and they're pretty cute.
But GLO "butt shorts" are not big here. Soffee shorts in cotton or nylon with the letters on the front of one leg are popular though-- I have two pairs. My chapter doesn't allow us to wear Gamam Phi Beta sweats or to drink in our letters-- not even a lavaliere. And we can't walk and smoke at the same time either-- we must sit down or stand in one place. It's just more ladylike that way. |

I know, I know, us Southern chapters and our rules. But to me, they make perfect sense. :p |

Ha! I'm in Indiana and not only do we have to sit down while smoking, our letters cannot be showing (preferably you should not be wearing them, but I know some people just turn things inside out or turn their bags around) and our legs must be crossed. Luckily I do not smoke, because it seems like an awful lot of trouble for one ciggarette!

I don't really see much wrong with it - I have shorts with TBS written on the bottom. I gotta lot of male support that day during camp. :p So if some of you believe that footwear, backwards, etc is wrong - what about working out in your letters? IT is very common here to walk into the Johnson Center and see "XYZ" on somebody's butt and a "XYZ" tank top running on a treadmill. |
I don't really like anything written on the butt of shorts or pants. And I'm definitely not a fan of sitting on my letters because I have one too many times sat down in something gross. I also think you should look classy while wearing letters and I don't think sweatpants make you look classy.
That said, I think I'm the only girl on my campus without a pair of butt pants. Although when I mentioned why I don't want them to some sisters, they said they never had thought of it that way. |
