The questions were not about what someone said to you, but what is written in the documents. ANY DELTA who can look at "THAT" chapter in the Bible as you all render it should alarm any confessing Christian. Remember one thing; nobody minds the mention of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, until you talk about The moral absolutes they require. How can the organization overlook its highest appointed official's endorsment of sin? Maybe they didn't know then, but you al know now.
Where is the edit button on your site to correct typing errors?

But as I try to say there the Pledge Club is NOT called the Minerva Circle and the whole point of the exercise is to show that Delta is not a religious sect (and never claimed to be) and should not be considered as such. It is a sisterhood that welcomes members of all beliefs and for that we are not ashamed.

Oh and by the way, none of our "secrets"are in our Rit. But just out of curiousity do you have the latest edition?

What I don't understand is why you feel the need to hate on your fellow person of God--Bishop McKenzie? And another question I would like you to answer: you basically say that all non-Christians will spend eternity in hell. Orthodox Catholics believe the same about non-Catholics. Are you Catholic? And if not, what is your response to that?

I am not greek but....

all the Greeks I have encountered have ENCOURAGED me to go back to church, not condemn it. When ever I read your comments, Iconolastic, I always wonder if you are against BGLOs that have made such strong strides with their legacy from civil rights movement to literacy, etc. of today are you against United States of America.

Things in this world is not perfect. And for you to spout out these opinions (because I have my bible right here on my right and the things you are quoting are there but you are turning them for your convience) makes me thing you are trying to start a cult. To make a bunch of people who are like minded like yourself to use as puppets.

Many who join BGLO's or any GLO's want to make a difference. They are not claimming their affliation is their religion. Maybe you had chosen, before your denoucement, to make it your religion but you don't speak for every member of any GLO.

Maybe I am taking this personally, but I hate when someone uses the name of my savior and the one who has guided my life in vain. It seems to me that you need to go back in your scriptures and find the true meaning of how God plays a role in your life. And kill the witch hunt.

My two cents and I don't care who agrees or disagrees with it.

End what?

We are just having an open discussion and I believe others will also be interested in your answers to the questions I have posed. Plus I am really not a "phone" person.

The end of what? Our discussion of spiritual things. Your sorority, ritual, and Grand Chaplain have been exposed on my website. I believe her actual quote is on there as well. I will find it.

"Oh and by the way, none of our "secrets"are in our Rit. But just out of curiousity do you have the latest edition?" According to the person that sent it, yes it is! You can confirm that here. I know that all secrets are not written, and some of those I know as well. Just because a document is not the latest, does not mean that it is the most accurate and current representation of its contents.

Icon's response to my question on his website.

"I will put it to you this way LG; Catholicism is not true Christianity."

Well as a minister of the Gospel let me say this: I do believe that God will call people out of certain areas of their lives to do a greater work for Him especially if He sees that certain things or people are consuming too much of their time, thus interferring with His plans. Now as for the reality of it all I have heard that greeklife along with other organizations are demonic in nature due to rituals and oath taking. However I would have to disagree. What exactly is this thing called ritual? Its something we do repetively. I go to work mon-fri 2:00pm til 11:00pm thats ritual. And as for oaths, the bible states in Mathew 5:33-37 states we should not swear by Heaven for it is Gods throne nor by Earth for it is God's footstool, nor by thy head for thy canst turn one hair white or gray. Now I dont know what type of oaths you all take but unless its along those lines you're safe. We take oaths daily. An oath is a vow/pledge/promise to do something. I took a vow when I got married. We take oaths to get into the military. Or even when we go to court. Some churches even have a mission statement. A mission statement is simply things you vow to do and uphold. Now if you're gonna be apart of these things and you call yourself a man of God then you should be pursuading your fratbrothers to be Christlike not allowing them to pursuade you to be like them.

business357 08-19-2005 03:02 PM

ChangePlease I would have to disagree with you on which frat you say he should choose because if a person is not rooted in the word of God they can be misguided no matter what group they choose to be apart of. I even know of some Christian Frat/sororities that have gotten into trouble for hazing. That just goes to show that even "christian groups" can get into trouble. You dont let the frat make you, you make the frat. I say go with Omega if thats what you want.

business357 08-19-2005 03:21 PM

Also let me add this. When we talk about this greek life thing we have to ask ourselves what it is. They are orgs made by other human beings. Anything made by the hands of man will have flaws and errors, but that in no way means it should be deemed as bad. We have flaws, but through the blood of Jesus He sees us in another light. We will never see perfection until the day we meet our Lord face to face and walk through the gates of Heaven. Until then we can only work with what we got. Greek life can be good if people abide by the rules and bylaws of their orgs. We need to start holding the individuals accountable instead of judging a whole org based on a few people's actions. God can use His ministry in any way that He sees fit, Be it in Omega, Delta, or whatever.

Ironically for me it was the sorority at my time of entrance into it- that propelled me more to go to church. I can remember doing a community service event at the mall with the sorority and heard two Sorors discussing the fact that they didn't know any AKAs that didn't go to church. After I heard that -I got convicted in my spirit and began to attend church on a more regular basis and do not see a conflict with my sorority and my walk with the Lord as I have gotten closer to him and have encountered those Sorors who are so inclined in my association with them.
