NY Law says non custodial parent must provide 17% of income for said child, but if Kim can get 35 or whatever, Misa should get the same.
YEAHHHH, BOyeeeee for Weezie!! When does George get one? lol Omar is shady though. He left baby momma #1 while still preggers to be with Sanaa. Sanaa had enough "hot flashes" while she was with him (ie: trips to the clinic) and she got tired of it. Omar produced "Tell Me" (or wrote it, I dont remember which) on Total's first cd, he even had a lil rap video out for a second. He is fine to look at though.. lol. |

Kelis slams fellow Grammy nominees
By WENN Published January 21 2004 R&B sensation Kelis is angered rather than excited by her Grammy nomination for Best Urban/Alternative Performance -- as she considers her rivals in the category "a joke." The Milkshake beauty -- who is engaged to rapper NAS -- launched into a tirade against contenders Erykah Badu, Les Nubians, Musiq and Outkast after being quizzed on her thoughts about the February ceremony. She fumes, "I look at the other nominees and I don't feel honored. It's a joke." |

On another note.....what about the "Justin's" Restaurants. Does Justin receive any income from these profits? Is the money going into a trust for him? Or, does P-Diddy solely benefit from the restaurants? |
NBA NETS SOLD TO JAY-Z; THEY'RE MOVING TO BROOKLYN: Actually to a development group that includes the rapper/entrepreneur
So, Jay-Z Gets To Move The Nets To Brooklyn, But At What Price? (Jan. 22, 2004) *The New Jersey Nets have finally been sold. That's good news for some and bad news for others and they're said to be moving to Brooklyn. The Nets' owners have agreed to sell the team for $300 million to a New York City real estate developer Bruce Ratner, along with a team of investors which include hip-hop businessman Jay-Z. It's a move that could bring Brooklyn its first major sports franchise since Dodgers moved to LA. However the building of a massive $2.5 billion complex -- which includes the arena -- involves destroying houses and didplacing several thousand persons. That will definitely be a problem. And, in a sense, it goes against the grain of what Jay-Z seems to be about. The rapper has always projected an image of being down for the people of his 'hood, Brooklyn and The Marcy Projects in particular. Oh well, we'll see. For more, go to: www.Newsday.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Reunited And It Feels So Good: Those who listened to me on the Lori & Julia Show on FM 107 in St. Paul, Minn. on Dec. 26, 2003 heard me speculate that “The Simple Life” star Nicole Richie was the biological daughter of Peter Michael Escovedo III. Well my speculations were confirmed last week when the Star reported that Nicole, the adopted daughter of Lionel Richie, was reunited with Peter on "The Wayne Brady Show," where he serves as bandleader. Nobody on the program knew of the connection. Nicole's biological dad was a percussionist in Richie's touring band, and Lionel was reportedly so taken with toddler Nicole that he asked Peter if she could move in with him and his wife, Brenda. According to Nicole, Peter and her biological mother, who had split up, decided the Richie’s could better provide for her. "It's much more complicated than that," says Peter, who is the brother of Prince protégée Sheila E. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Who Cares: Well it’s obvious that the rookie co-host on “The View,” Elisabeth Hasselbeck, is attempting to garner some attention. In an effort to become the Bill O’Reilly of daytime TV, Elisabeth announced on “The View” that she was appalled that Reebok had a deal with rapper 50 Cent and challenged the athletic company to ditch the hip-hop star. Apparently, Elisabeth’s gripes with 50 stem from the fact his G-Unit counterpart, Lloyd Banks, has struck a deal to release a line of skin flicks. His company, Banks Shot Productions, will make porno movies for Digital Sin for DVD release. The series of content will be called "Groupie Luve," after a G-Unit song of the same name. 50 and his G-Unit will make cameos in the film, however, the company offered in a statement, "Neither 50 Cent nor G-Unit will be engaged in any sexual behavior, but may make general appearances [in the films]." Elisabeth, a conservative republican, apparently doesn’t feel that 50’s affiliation with adult entertainment fits well with Reebok’s image. Let’s see if her little plea causes 50 any trouble. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Speaking of getting out of contracts, I‘m told Faith Evans was able to split from P.Diddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment and has now inked a new deal with Capitol Records. She apparently joins Chingy and Javier, who are also on Capitol. There was a rumor on the Internet that the O‘Jays broke up, but it‘s not true! The O’Jays have inked a new deal with Matthew Knowles‘ World Music label and will began recording a new album this year…World Music has apparently signed the gospel trio Trin-I-tee 5:7, who were formerly signed to Gospo Centric Records. Apparently the girls ended with Gospo Centric on a sad note and may not even be able to record under the name Trin-I-tee 5:7 any longer… ~~~ Hot Topic: Folks everywhere are certainly reading the Juice. Last week’s column included a story from an old interview with R&B singer Christopher Williams and his perspective on how men are obsessed with Halle Berry, whom he once dated. In the interview, Chris proclaimed, “The stuff they wrote about [me] and Halle was totally false. They said something like, I busted her eardrum, and I’m tired of it. I never said it [before], but I’m so tired of people thinking I’m the guy [who did it]. Wesley Snipes busted her eardrum, not me!” This story was so popular that numerous media outlets including Eonline.com, WENN news service and IMDB.com picked up the story. Believe it or not, they even credited the source of the story. (It’ll be nice when Black media outlets learn to do the same, but I digress!) ~~~ This Just In…: I’m told an announcement could come this week that Ray "Benzino" Scott will be stepping down from The Source. Word is that Benzino, who has released two CDs, is preparing to focus on his music career. However, my sources speculate that Benzino is leaving the hip-hop glossy because the magazine’s numerous failed attempts to discredit and ruin the career of Eminem has destroyed the integrity of the hip-hop glossy. Keep your eye on this one, and know that you heard it here first! ~~~ Can’t Say Names: Note to all celebrities: Stop having sex in public places. Two music stars (not Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey) were recently caught on camera getting their groove on in a public facility. The sad part is that they don’t know it yet. What married hip-hop star met a beautiful woman with whom he planned to have an affair, but luckily his conscience kicked in and he decided not too? Nonetheless, his right hand man instead pursued the girl behind his back and has been secretly dating the chick ever since. |

Bob Marley Stirs It Up with Rare Songs Release
Thu Jan 22, 9:17 AM ET Add Entertainment - Reuters to My Yahoo! By Astrid Zweynert LONDON (Reuters) - Previously unpublished tracks from Bob Marley's early years are to be released this spring, more than 20 years after the reggae icon's death, Universal Music said on Thursday. The record company said it had signed a 10-year global licensing deal with reggae label JAD Records for their early catalog recordings of Bob Marley & The Wailers. Over 200 tracks, recorded between 1967 and 1972, feature a young Marley with street attitude, influenced by the U.S. civil rights movement and beginning to explore Rastafarianism. "It is thrilling, both personally and professionally, that Universal is now able to present to fans virtually the entire recorded works of one of the most prolific and influential artists of the 20th Century," Julian Huntly of Universal Music International said in a statement. Jamaican-born Marley, who died of cancer in 1981 at the age of 36, became a global superstar with reggae anthems such as "Stir It Up" and "No Woman No Cry." The deal includes songs composed in Kingston, Jamaica, during the early years of The Wailers, the band the godfather of reggae formed with Neville "Bunny" Livingstone and Peter Tosh. The first release is a three-CD set, which will hit start hitting the shops in March. Tracks including "Music Gonna Teach," "One Love True Love" and the Peter Tosh version of "Little Green Apples" are to be released on CD for the first time. The catalog also includes reggae classics such as "Stir It Up," "Small Axe," "Guava Jelly" and "Concrete Jungle." Universal said there was "every possibility" that more previously unreleased songs could be found. Universal Music International is the international division of Universal Music Group, part of Vivendi Universal. |
