Ok, since a heffa called me out...
I was waiting for Soror Lovesupreme to post about RH Factor since she's the one who hipped me to it. But anyway, GOOD CD!!! Track #8 is my fave! #6 is my second fave. I really did think we had talked about Salt? We didn't talk about Liz Wright in the other music thread? You sure, heffa? My favorite track on there is #6. ;) |
I bought Dwele's CD to prepare for his concert. You know, a sista has got to know the songs when she goes to the concert. Anyway, his CD is OFF THE HOOK! Clearly, this has moved close to the top of my "Heavy Rotation" list. :D

The thing that makes his CD so TIGHT is the story links. I love a CD that tells a story. My faves are Subject, Lady at Mahogony, and track #16 (I forget the name). And I still like The Truth, even though I would hate if I were in that situation. Been there, done that. Lyin' mofos... I'm sorry, I digress. I just wish I could go to the concert, too. |
Now soror Ideal08 know dang well she wasnt even feeling subject at first. She was like I can't stand that song "Truth", she probably still dosent care for it too much.

More Music...I got you!
Well all that know me realize how integral music is to my life....I want to hip yall to some of the artists that are really making an impact on my life soundtrack right now.
Raheem Devaughn- "The Love Experience" The album has not dropped yet, but I have some cuts from it and it is hot! It is so refreshing to find a singer that is pure artistry. He is the lead singer for the group Urban Ave 31, Washington DC/Baltimore area band. They are wonderful. They have two independantly produced albums entitled "The Healing" and "The Antidote". You can purchase the cds off of the link below. www.urbanave31.com Cody ChestnuTT- "The Headphone Masterpiece" This cat was out around the time of R. Kelly and Public Annoucment but he never blew up. So he cahnged his sound, and has come back with an eccletic mix of 36 tracks on this CD. You just have to hear it. He runs the gammet (sp?) from singing about love to saying "Thank you Jesus, for my mama and thank you bit**es for my money". You just have to hear this one for yourself. * He is the cat from the Roots song "The Seed". Roy Hargrove- "Hard Groove" This is a wonderful blend of jazz and hip-hop. Cd highlights is Erykah Badu and Q-Tip Joint "Poetry" and Dangelo's "I'll Stay". Peven Everett- "Studio Confessions" I picked this joint up in the Virgin Music store in New York. I love it. Bebel Gilberto- "Tanto Tempo" Bossa Nova singer. This cd came out I think two years ago. It is fab! Check it out. Soror Erika the music lover |

I am feeling:
Britney Spears...sorry, but this CD is HOT to me! Black Album Floetry's live disc has 3 new songs and I like them all! Ying Yang Twinz - Salt Shaker 112 - Hot and Wet Kanye West feat Twista - Slow Jam I am gonna be spending up my whole pay check within the next few weeks cause Missy is Tuesday, Alicia is 12/2 and Kelis is 12/9. |
I just caught a glimpse of Musiq's new video, "forthenight". I liked the song. It looks as if he's keeping with tradition a putting out the same smooth grooves we're used to.
I also saw Floetry on 106 and Park with their new song, "Wanna Be Where You Are". It's a new type of sound for them but I really liked it. It's a nice collaboration with Mos Def. |
Did anyone purchase Jay-Z's "The Black Album"?? It is HOT HOT HOT!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
