Bump for fall recruitment season and new addicts like me. :)

My name is Allison and I'm a brand new rush thread addict. We have deffered recruitment at my school, and I've recently discovered that I can get my recruitment "fix" on GC. I also have to say that GC has improved my attitude toward rush - whereas I used to dread those four days, now I look forward to them!

Last year wasn't too bad because I didn't start my addiction until at least school started. I know I stalked MTSUGURL's thread because I was way excited for her.

But this year I'm already starting, and it's 2 days into August. :(

I started looking at these boards again last month after a brief recovery period. I stayed away from them for a total of 5 months. I've now relapsed, and just can't wait to start reading all the threads this season! Best of luck to all the girls in the 2004-2005 schoolyear recruitments!

Hi. My name is adpi*nurse and I am a rush thread addict. (Hi adpi*nurse.)
I've only been on GC since January, but over the past spring I have read all of last years Recruitment stories. Even though everything had already happend, I would stay up late reading them all. I actually cried (tears of happiness) when I got to the end of Carnation's rush thread for Blazer Cheer and read that she had found a home.
I really and truly have a problem. I am so addicted to Panhellenic chapters finding wonderful new sisters that I also constantly read the Potential Alumnae Initiates stories.
I have already subscribed to the Rush threads that have been started this year. Recruitment doesn't even start for another 2 weeks!
What are we going to do in the mean time?
Feed my addiction! I don't ever want to quit!

Even though I attended an HBCU and never knew about "rush" until I came to GC, I just LOVE reading the rush stories. :D

Do you think I can use the rush threads as a valid excuse for why I haven't A1) finished my grad school application yet and B2) not found a job yet???? ;) :)

One of the few good things about school starting soon is that the RUSH THREADS will also be starting up again!!

ladies, if my recollection serves me, it appears that relief is just around the corner. i believe that both auburn and kansas state start recruitment next week!!

That's true...so does Oklahoma State University! :)

University of Northern Alabama, Georgia Southern Univeristy, Georgia Tech, University of Georgia, University of Kentucky, University of Kansas, and University of Tennessee (Knoxville) all start toward the end of next week! :D....we've got plenty to keep us entertained!
