There are so many people in the South Florida area who are hired in customer service positions with a minimal understanding of English.

I really think that the problem here is employers hiring people who don't speak English for customer service positions. Why hire someone who can't do the job? That doesn't even make sense.

I do believe those living in the US should make an effort to learn the language of the country they are living in. I am not saying tourist need to speak English--just know some key phrases--- but those people who live here should learn to speak English.
It kills me everytime I call Direct Loans (gov't funded student loan people) and I get the whole recording in English and Spanish--- US Gov't student loan program--giving loans to non-English speaking people--- ha ha ha!!!!!!
Use the money and learn the language!!!!!!

I'm surpised that even more rapes, child molestations, and child abductions do
not happen-women are way too trusting of men and parents are way too trusting

* I believe that students should be forced to finish high school, not be able to drop out after age 16
* I believe that if people were punished phyically for their crimes (ie - if you steal, you get your finger cut off, etc), there would be less crime
* I believe in mandatory birth control for families on welfare who continue to have children...and changes to welfare so that people trying to get themselves off welfare aren't cut off because they are in the mid-way bracket
* I believe the US should not use our money to rebuild Iraq...use the millions of dollars that was found over there
