So, it sounds like you like Pi Phi and Gamma Phi, since you have not mentioned cutting them. I would def keep those two!!

Other than that advice, I echo the other posts:
Where did you feel most like yourself? Where did you feel most comfortable? Stay there. Imagine it's Bid Day and you have a bid from each house-- what does your stomach do? Follow that!

Wow sounds like rush is going fantastic for you...congrats! Glad you are feeling so comfortable with some of the houses. That is quite shocking to me actually about Gamma Phi's video...I know at my school there is NO way we are allowed to have anything that even hints at alcohol and stuff and aren't allowed to talk about fraternity guys, etc. And I thought that you weren't allowed to leave houses with anything from that chapter....I know when I went through rush they made us throw out or give back everything. We couldn't even leave with the napkins from the drinks or it was considered dirty rushing, so I am surprised they gave you cookie platters. Does anyone know if the rules are different at each school? Good luck with pref. I am sure you will get your top houses...ADPi seems to just love you, that is awesome!!!

She didn't say they got to leave with the cookie platters. She said they gave them to them before the slideshow. USC's rules do not allow PNM's to leave with anything.

I'm surprised about the video as well. We were told to leave all boys and booze pictures at the door...the focus is on the sisterhood. Anyway, it sounds like you made the right choices and I wish you the best with your invites!

First of all, thanks so much for your help. I finally made a choice although I lay awake thinking about the house I cut, and I'm still upset, but I had to do it I suppose.

So I chose Delta Gamma and Phi Beta Phi, and both of them invited me back for pref, so I'm excited. I better get ready soon, but I also wanted to find out how everything is going for you Chloe? Hope you have a great day.

One question for all actives who have been on the other side of rush, how does it all work. If I've been invited back somewhere can I take it that they like me and want me back? I definetely want to make sure I'm comfortable in whichever house I choose and whether they want me or not is going to make a huge part of that decision for me?

Any insight?

If they invited you back to pref, they like you! There are a few threads on how bids work here, but the jist is you can be a pledge of any sorority you pref. They know this and they don't invite you to pref if they don't think you'd be a good addition. Being invited to pref is not getting a bid, but it's the next step!

SC Honey, you might want to find out DG and Pi Phi's housing policy... I noticed you do not want to live in... however, they might require you to live in the house for a year or two. This could be a selling point for you to either house, if you are having a hard time deciding.

Good luck with pref tonight. This past spring break some sisters and I went to another sister's house in L.A. We visited the USC adpi's and they were so sweet. We went up to their house and told them we were adpi's from alpha theta chapter and they treated us like they had known us forever and we were great friends. They have a beautiful house too, I don't know if you know this but Sorority Boys was filmed there and while we were there they were filming "Nancy Drew goes to College" (???) But I just wanted to say good luck, I'm sure it will go great for you!

I didn't mean to sound like I was making accusations on my post earlier..I was just a bit confused. But anways, a HUGE congrats on getting to pref at your top two houses!!! Good luck and let your heart be your guide.
