I believe Kelley from N.O. was in a sorority as well. I think when they did that "meet the cast" show before their season aired they showed her casting tape which was filmed in her bedroom, and she had a paddle on the wall. I haven't the foggiest which house it was for though.

ZTAngel 11-24-2003 01:13 PM

Yes, I think she was a Pi Phi. I'll add that.

Brad, who will be appearing on the San Diego season starting in January, was an ATO at SIU-Carbondale.

Here's an article about him from the SIU newspaper.

I think someone said in another thread that he lost a bet with a friend and had to wear the friend's fraternity letters on the show. I don't remember which he was in and which the friend was in though.

Shawn from Road Rules Semester At Sea is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He pledged at UNC-Chapel Hill and u can find his pic on the chapter's website.

Frank is definately a FIJI.....he spoke at their convention last summer. Some of the guys here went and met him and they have a picture of him at the podium with his pin on and everything....

TigerLilly 11-25-2003 10:51 AM

Yeah, Frank is a FIJI -- he spoke at UK last year and I met him! :D

Okay, I've read this entire thread and am surprised by how many Greeks were on RR or RW.

I have to admit though (hide's head in shame before continuing), I'm shocked that Ellen is a sister, because she really bugged me on RR 'The Quest' and the RR/RW Battle of the Sexes. I didn't like her attitude. She was such a B*$%# on the show. I really hate to say this because she is my sister, but I'm in shock. As my dad says 'you can't like everyone'.

It's amazing how different chapters are at other schools, isn't it? And the diversity of women that are members at those chapters.

The U of Iowa (where Ellen was a member at) is a very liberal campus, and the girls that go through recruitment often come from larger cities, out-of-state (Chicago, Milwaukee, Kansas City, etc...) and reflect those liberal attitudes. It was a big shock to me as an advisor to see the varations of attitudes from my affiliated chapter (at a different school) to the one I was advising, even though they were in the same state!

But having so many Greeks on RW and RR just proves one thing, Greeks are definitely go-getters and not afraid to take risks! (no matter how much we yell at the TV for their seeming stupidity! ;) )

The upcomming season of Real World in San Diego has a KKG. Her name is Jamie...She goes to UCR.

I think Mallory is a Chi Omega. In one episode she had on blue sweatpants with a white Chi O on them.

ISUKappa 12-02-2003 11:23 AM

Mallory wasn't in a house. She was a soccer player at Iowa State, which is part of the Big XII conference. She always wore her athletic sweats around the house that have a XII on the leg. I can see where that might look like a Chi Omega though! :)
