I just picked up on this thread for the first time. My 2-cents are:

1. If you wanna start a "real world" group called Gamma Chi then go for it. I think the communities in Yahoo or MSN are a great place to begin discussions.

2. Personally, I'm not interested. There is already enough work to do in most of our Greek organizations (whether as alum or active).

3. Its ok for a thread to get feisty and heated. Reminds me of some sorority meetings.

If you are on a commitee do you still have to fill out the forms??

what happened to Gamma Chi?

Oh Lord...I remember this fiasco...:rolleyes:

It died because everyone realized it was stupid and the gamma chi members fought over how things should work. Thank god it died out.

This thread is the most insane thing I have ever read. :p

This happened RIGHT after I found GC ! I believe it died because of this post... as you can see, some people got upset about the membership requirements and it is hard to get people together in the different time zones and such... and communication being difficult I thought it was a cute idea... but the logistics just don't work out.... why was this brought back ??

Gamma Chi sucks, Eta Chi rule!!!!

Unbeknownst to me, Gamma Chi WAS the predecessor to Eta Chi. Hater's Club! So much hate.

At least the purpose of Eta Chi has stayed on track! Hehehe. :D

What made someone go looking for this thread?

I was bored at work and I was browsing through old threads and I found this one. This was before my time on gc so I just wanted to know what happened to gamma chi. Im sorry If I brought anyone distress by posting on this thread.

No, I'm not distressed. I just thought it was funny that this old thread popped up after so long. Oh the drama it caused.

I was new to GC when Gamma CHi was introduced.
